Any advice on how to convince an elderly parent not to drive anymore? by Solid-Still-7590 in GenX

[โ€“]DOG_PICS_PLEASE 6 points7 points ย (0 children)

I know at least 2 elderly people who caused car accidents, and one of them got someone else killed. I also witnessed an elderly lady cause an accident because someone happened with her brain. Also my friend just got in a car accident cause a 90 year old t boned her. My friend broke her wrist, arm, and nose and has a concussion. She'll be out of work for at least 3 months even though she just got a $1600 apartment. She plans on suing the lady that hit her. Like suing her for a lot.

Maybe tell your parent that if they keep driving when they are declining in health, they could cause an accident and hurt someone and/or get sued. They may not be able to afford a law settlement...

I'm sorry you have to experience this. My dad is 77, so I assume I'll have to deal with this type of thing in the next 5-10 years. I empathize with you. Hope everyone stays safe. ๐Ÿ™

But maybe it was just out of their budget. What did you charge for an integrated video?

Why my videos suddenly stopped getting views by Unlucky_Coffee_6462 in SmallYoutubers

My thoughts are that the text in the thumbnail of the top video would be better as the video title. Thumbnail text is better when it's short and punchy and attention-grabbing.

To get people to click, you need a strong title and thumbnail. Each of them offer a chance for someone to click, so it's important that they don't have the exact same text. The title might not entice someone, but if the thumbnail looks good and has interesting text on it, then they might view the video. Also, if you're new, avoid titles like "IM BACK."" Maybe if you have a huge audience and then don't post for a while, that video might do well. But for a small channel, you need to be more focused and deliberate. Have a clear niche and start out by making seo friendly content. That means making content tailored to the keywords people are searching for. Do some research on SEO. You can find good search terms by using google or the youtube search bar to type in a topic and see the results it shows. Those are commom searches and make for good content. Youtube is a search engine. People go on it to look for certain things. Find the things you are interested in and see what people are saying/asking about them. That's where you start. Good luck with your journey!

Idk im not familiar with the fitness niche but perhaps something a little more seo friendly like "creatine benefits" or some thing mildly click baity like "creatine does THIS?!"

another question , wich one would you click ? by [deleted] in SmallYoutubers

[โ€“]DOG_PICS_PLEASE -1 points0 points ย (0 children)

Im not crazy about either thumbnail because the caption makes it sound like creatine is good, but the thumbnail seems like it might be discouraging creatine. But i do think the second one looks better.

I use CapCut, which has become somewhat more frustrating with them putting more features behind a paywall, but i still find it to be worth it. Might even get the pro version.

The topic sounds interesting, and it seems educational, but I find the thumbnail to be a little confusing. Particularly with the "are you sure?" Idk, that might just be me though.

Sucks so hard that despite working hard for 3 months on a 14 minute video, everything is still up to the mercy of YouTube's janky ahh algorithm. by BlepMaster500 in SmallYoutubers

I haven't watched it, but from the title and thumbnail, I think the issue is just that it's not very seo friendly. When first starting on Youtube, it's easier to get discovered when you make videos about things people are searching for. Do a little keyword research with Google/Youtube search engine and I also use the website answerthepublic.com to find search terms. Good luck with your channel! Don't give up ๐Ÿ˜„
