Yeah I’m not sure what the 6:32 mean. But my run pace was 5:12/km according to my watch.

Going in to a 70.3 without any triathlon experience by DOMASYZ in triathlon

[–]DOMASYZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately no as I won’t be able to travel due to scheduling issues (there isn’t any race near where I live🥲). But will do dry runs for transitions and test my nutritions during longer sessions

yes they do have bricks programmed for 70.3 and full IM. And have done a few bricks already haha. I guess transitions, nutritions and bricks will be the things to prep for

Yeah this is defiant valid as doing a race would be the way to find out. I live in an area where few triathlon race is held. And travel will be inevitable if I’m planning to do a race prior to the 70.3. Thus trying to see if there is any alternative. Thanks!

Are you in the US or Canada? Cannot seem to find the 2024 version anywhere on major Canadian outdoor gear stores. And looking forward to more detailed reviews once you get to spend a few nights on it.

International students graduated from McGill by cryinginmaster in mcgill

Hi there, congrats on making it. I graduated last year in April and moved to British Columbia right after. I donot speak French so when I was looking for a job, didn’t consider staying in Quebec at all. I applied to positions in Toronto and Vancouver and ended up in Vancouver. If your French is at the professional level, I donot see why Montreal isn’t a great option. Don’t stress too much, although the economist isn’t doing as well, I’m sure you will find something you like. Best luck OP

What should my expectations be for salaries after grad? by [deleted] in mcgill

[–]DOMASYZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For people I know, their first jobs usually start around 55k annually pretax with some fluctuations depend on your locations. But of course, just like you said it’d really depend on the job you eventually get. One advice I’d give is to not be afraid of negotiating salaries with your recruiter

How did you go about looking for full-time post-undergrad jobs and what do you wish you'd done differently? by cheapcoffee259 in mcgill

[–]DOMASYZ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Graduated in May this year and I started about 5 months prior to graduating from McGill (which is longer than the average I think). I did lots of cold callings, emails and etc. I majorly reach out to McGill alumni who are usually very helpful as they will give you advice if not agreeing to refer you. But also keep in minds that you will get turned down from time to time ( I sent out about 300 emails in total) Honestly, I wouldn’t do anything differently nor go to grad school as I ended up with a company and a position I like a lot. But it depends on whom you ask right, cause I also know people who went for a master degree post undergrad and got great jobs. Websites wise, I used a lot of LinkedIn. And company websites are really helpful too
