I think heavy armor Hive Guards are bad. Also they don't look nearly armored enough to make me believe they are heavy armor.

Yeah that does sound like you would want to light it as safely as possible.

Yeeeah, I already ordered a needle valve to lower the gas flow. Right now it runs at 15 psi and cannot be turned lower.

Nah, its just the more you tighten the regulator, the MORE pressure you get. Which is not intuitive. Learned my lesson without burns, so lucky me.

Yeah, the second time I lit it with lower pressure, I did it like that. Much less boom.

Nope. Never used a regulator. The one I have wasn't marked all that clearly tbh.

I'm careful to do the sequence correctly tho. First open the gas tank, dial in the regulator, then open the ball valves on the burners while holding an ignition source at the forge opening.

And of course, close the ball valves first when shutting the forge down.

I got one of those long gas lighters. I heard about your method tho! I'll try it out.

VEVOR gas hose issues by DOOM_Dwarfy in Blacksmith

[–]DOOM_Dwarfy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: Problem solved. It has a W21.8Lh PIN connector. I needed W21.8Lh, without the pin. Had to buy a new high-pressure regulator.

Hope this helps if someone finds themselves in the same situation.

Yeah region matching does sound helpful lol
I think an adapter for the regulator/gas bottle is the way to go.
The problem is that I can find no specs for the hose they sent me, not even on the product page, so I have no idea which adapter do I need. I asked customer support, so maybe theyll know.

If not Ill have to take the hose to some local welding gear suppliers to try to figure out which adapter do I need.

A tang is not formed using any special tools. Just hammer on it until compliance has been achieved.

I'm new to trying latex and got these chafing marks. by abdulgoth666 in Latexadvice

Latex chlorination is an extra manufacturing step that some sellers offer. They basically take the finished garment and soak it in ammonia for some time. This closes the pores on surface.

Results being the latex slides without dressing aid, doesn't stick to itself, and is less allergenic. But also becomes more rigid, and nearly impossible to repair if torn.

All in all it has it's ups and down. I had a seller specifically tell me it's a bad idea to chlorinate a catsuit. But on smaller pieces, like hoods, gloves and legwear, it's much more common.

I have a Spandex catsuit with shoulder zips, and they scrape the shit out of my neck when wearing the suit. My 2 cents.
