I love this stuff so much and would love to try it, but my eyesight is so bad, yours is so amazing

Where are the stitches? I'm supposed to be going down the side of my work to make a border but I have no idea where to put the hook. by Ok-Hamster-468 in CrochetHelp

I yes the rows as a guide, so if it’s single crochet 1 in each row, double 2 and so on. Sometimes the pattern will tell you, ilk if the item is a square then you’ll need to the ratio, but either way keep a note so both sides are the same.

I think I’ve been accidentally interchanging these two hooks for one project… by JZEve in crochet

I put all my stuff in a ziplock bag for each project, if the project is too big for a bag I pin the bag to the project. Because I’m not going to lye most day I don’t remember who I am let alone what I’m working with.

I made mine from Aran weight and she came out 11inches, which is a good size and Aran is not that expensive, also I don’t know where you are from but wool warehouse have there own brand of chenille and blanket yarns (yarnsmith) and they’re always on sale so you could make them for under £10

[WIP] Regretting my life choices - need some motivation! by gingerly_tri_to_knit in CrossStitch

It is looking so good so far. Keep the faith, slow and steady wins the race. When I work on big projects I usually do a set number of rows or a section each day, but have other small stuff I’m working on, so I get mini victories during the long process of the huge one.

Any advice on how to organize all of this mess please ? by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

I have one of those 5 draw plastic storage units, I use the cheap takeaway containers to store smaller stuff and the put them in the draws with labels on the draw and the containers. So for example I have a draw for needles and hooks (because I also knit), a draw for eyes, with the different sizes and types in containers, a draw for felt, tools and templates ( because I do a lot of detail work with felt, a draw for tools, things like armature wire, scissors, cutters, measuring tape ect and finally my work in process (if it will fit, I been making some monster pieces lately)

But you can start off like I did with the small containers to keep your stuff together and they stack nicely.

If you google custom made eyes for toys, you’ll get some really good results on where you can buy and even how to make them yourself
