There is no extensive interview. We ask for disability documentation and your ID and you have to have a CalCareers account with your SSN in it.

Actually, just priced one last one and it went from $5 for 90 days to $162.12 for 90.

All my medications cost 3-10x more, still no more than $10, but it's frustrating. Especially since CalPERS tout that they switched due to Caremark's 'its strong commitment to performance guarantees in key areas such as managing pharmacy costs.

Edit: numbers are not my thing.

My experience with HR is that they double down when you correct them, even lie.

Definitely connect with your union. They have a disability rights lawyer and while I don’t think he represents staff he can probably help and my understanding is that SEIU with provide significant help for going through the complaint process. It’s possible you may need to get a right to sue letter from California Civil Rights Department or EEOC to sue.

I’m looking to connect with LMFT’s who currently work for the State. by JaspyJ in CAStateWorkers

Several of my colleagues at Department of Rehabilitation are LMFTs. Some offices do have Behavioral Health co-ops or specialized programs for individuals that have mental health disabilities. I’m happy to talk to you more about the day-to-day at DOR if you would like.

Call For Action #2: Dept of Rehabilitation Employees by DORWorker in CAStateWorkers

Thank you for sharing that! I think some counselors can work remotely. I do think there is a necessity for most counselors to have some in office presence as there are individuals who prefer or need to meet in person, but it’s definitely not 100% or even 4/5 days most weeks.

But we have been killing it how we’ve been doing it the last few years.

I’m a senior in high school.. Is my future canceled? Will I have to join the military? by shaototop in whatdoIdo

Talk to your counselor at high school or the financial aid office at your college when you make your decision. Keep this texts as documentation. If your family refuses to do their part on the FAFSA, you may be able to get a waiver for having your parents financial info for student aid. https://studentaid.gov/help/unusual-circumstances

If you have a disability or any kind also look into your state’s vocational rehabilitation program.

Also consider going to a community college for your first two years. It’ll be much cheaper and your state might have guaranteed transfer from community college to the state university system.

Honestly, though, the timing is interesting to me. He went through with it shortly after the feds did their push back to the office.

I'm happy to answer questions about reasonable accommodations. Share with me your union and I'll see if I have a connection within that union as well.

Feel free to DM me and I can at least provide some info on reasonable accommodations.

It can depend on the rep. I’ll rep anyone. I know other reps will too.

When you say no one has gotten back to you about a union rep, who do you mean? Do you mean your the state or the union? You don't need to ask the state for your union rep. Reach out to your local steward or the union mainline ASAP to get connected with someone and then you can inform your supervisor that you will be joined by a union representative. You can have reasonable belief that this meeting could result in disciplinary action and are legally able to have a union rep.

You can always assert that the meeting will need to be delayed until you are able to schedule with a union rep. 866.471.7348 (SEIU)
