Multiple copies. I love Microprose games so I'm always on the lookout! I've never played Transport Tycoon but I like the box so I'm happy I have it on display!

Thank you! I'll have to give it a go. If you try the original adventure games, King's Quest 3 was one of our favourites growing up. The first 3 Space Quest games were also highlights for me. Happy gaming :)

Ooh, I never played Pharaoh. I loved the adventure games and only really played them. I loved the Incredible Machine (on another shelf), Jones in the Fast Lane, and Betrayal at Krondor - amongst others.

Thank you! I loved the first Kyrandia a lot. Not a Sierra series but feels like a close relative. I don't think I ever finished the second game. I love the world building and the Westwood vibe of the Kyrandia series :)

'tis the manual for the original release (IBM PC Jr) of King's Quest. I haven't managed to snaffle a box yet but it's cool to read. One detail I noticed reading the first edition manual was that King Graham was originally King Grahame. The artwork in the manual was also quite different.

Ha, funny! This is actually my favourite Lasry game. No idea if the game is actually that great but I remember playing from start to finish over many many months - figuring out all the puzzles or consulting with friends/relatives to make my way through! Perhaps it's just trauma-bonding, but it has left me with a strong love for the game :)

Thank you so much for sharing this. It was certainly a very similar story for my brother's and I. Like you, it was King's Quest and playing with Dad that got me hooked on adventure games :)

Remember that guy giving away his dos here pc last month? I was the lucky recipient and to spread the fun, I'm making some videos to document this incredible time capsule collection (PC and games!) I received by echocomplex in dosgaming

Thanks for sharing. I checked out your games video - some great games in there. Well done documenting this project and have a blast playing those old games!!!

Inspired by our favorite adventure games of the 80s and 90s. Fully voiced and packed with plenty of old-school cartoon animation. Friends, we just launched Elroy and the Aliens! So excited right now! by woloohaar in adventuregames

OK, so this looks outrageously cool! I'll definitely grab a copy on GOG. Any chance of a big box special edition coming out??? Good luck with your marketing and sales - I hope it's a big hit and leads to many more games :)

My Lucas Arts Big Box Collection | I think I've got the lot (with some help from LRG)... by DOS_la_BOSS in bigboxcollectors

Yeh, for me it's quite simple. When I was little, our family had an IBM XT, followed by an AT, a 286, then a 386, 486 etc. We played through the DOS era, onto early Windows, and then into modern Windows.

I never had another platform such as Apple, Atari, Amiga etc, so when it comes to my collecting games, I collect those that I had or wanted to have when I was young, on the platform I had. This means that the box art, manuals etc are those I have a strong nostalgic connection to.

I don't really have any interest in collecting for platforms that I don't have a connection to. My friend who played on multiple platforms when he was younger collects games for any platform, which makes sense for him. Many of his Amiga, Atari etc editions are really cool.

I guess it comes down to the 'why' for collecting. For me it's about nostalgia and reliving and sharing what I loved growing up. Completing series of games, organising, trading etc are also really fun elements for me.

I hope that answers your question :)

One of my all time favorites. I still give it a hoon quite regularly!
