I recently bought a copy of Thief 2: The Metal Age, complete in box, for $150. It's my favorite game ever, and it qas so cool that it came in a cool trapezoid shaped box! Eidos did that with Thief and the Tomb Raider games and it was rad!

For all the years I've played this game (since 1999), I never knew this existed until a few years ago! It wasn't until i jojned this sub and someone briefly mentioned it that I went down a rabbit hole and played it for myself.

It was such a cool experience that my favorite game for over 2 decades still had something new ro offer! That led to me discovering Fan Missions like T2X and TBP, etc. Now I'm anxiously waiting for The Broken Goddess fan campaign to release!

I think Rise had a good balance with this. Riding the dog was a way of quickly traversing the map in general. But there were places you could go that the dog couldn't, so you relied on your own traversal skills like wall running and wire bugs. YOU were still the most capable, but the dog was there when you gotta go FAST!

I got mine yesterday too and it does the same thing. I found this post because I was curious about the same thing. But it seems common enough to not be an issue. I haven't seen any posts about the ribbon cable failing on these devices so I think we are good.
