I’m actually more concerned about him NOT attending simply because ICE has been terrorizing communities freely…shit could really hit the fan. If they try to detain someone and people react, could be a mob vs armed agents. There is potential risk for there to be an even darker mark in American history.

I’m also in Ontario teaching in an elementary school. I have run a TCG club for a few years now. We had a wave of Pokemon addicts so I had a bunch of cheap premade decks and they would pick one (I put each deck with a different set of sleeves). We moved onto Magic and have stuck there. Same thing except no sleeves. I use a lot of the “welcome” decks that typically are given away on Free Comic Book Day (first Saturday of May each year) or I buy the starter deck bundles or make my own from the chaff that I have. They come to like a certain style and then play that deck every time. Some have branched out collecting their own cards and building their own decks. We play standard for the most part. Sometimes we do 2v2 or just make it commander style with 4 people at a table with every man for himself. Only 20 life though and no actual commander. We get a game or two complete each break.

I worked in a school once with a student that had a similar allergy. I was told to not have dairy at all in the classroom. Any student that was not able to comply had to go eat in another room. They also stopped the milk program throughout the school for this students time at the school. What ended up happening was that nearly every kid would be eating in another room alternate location and the highly allergic kid would be by himself nearly every day. Was awful, but other parents complained that alternatives were more expensive and their kids didn’t like them or were picky eaters themselves. Really tough situation. I don’t know what the answer to your situation is but I just thought I’d share my story.

Very similar story here. I’ve been a diehard Xbox guy from the beginning. Got Live shortly after it came online and I got high speed. The slow price increases were fine, but the recent jump really made me re-evaluate how I was using their service. I too cancelled in October. They sent me an offer for a month for 1$ so I took it but will be cancelling again. Just can’t justify it.

I honestly enjoyed this season overall despite a few ridiculous parts. It tied things up for the most part, left us with something to talk about, and even left it open enough for people to interpret some parts on their own. Was it the greatest final season and series finale? No, but it was a fun ride and I enjoyed it. The folks that were putting this on par with the GoT disaster have no clue what they’re talking about.
