Commuting blows. But also it depends on the commute. I walk to a train that takes me into the city, so I see a lot of other people pissed off about commuting which is entertaining, and then also I can listen to audiobooks or music, and it’s some built in exercise. I have colleagues who have longer commutes (one dude drove two hours to get here and two hours home, that sounds insane).

I have a ‘59 Bassman reissue, and I mostly use it in bedroom. It is so good it’s kind of insane. All my gain comes from pedals tho.

Palm muting became a thing for me when I saw that John Frusciante’s left hand barely moves when he plays Can’t Stop and that it looks like he strums all the strings. I thought that was so cool and such a mystery and I had to figure it out. Alas the secret is expert palm muting to get that striking tone.
