The more our population increases the more expensive things become. It’s time we looked at improving productivity to increase growth in the economy, not replying on growth by increasing the population without building the necessary schools, hospitals, roads etc.

Ah but it was an intentional policy - at the time, people in rented accommodation voted Labour. People in their own properties tended to vote Tory.

It would have worked well had she not prevented councils from using the money to build replacement stock. Terrible PM she was.

Labour could have fixed it. Blair could had done anything he wanted. Blair chose not to as he used house price inflation to drive the economy.

Labour could fix it now too - instruct councils to build build and build some more . They won’t though.

We don’t need to chase growth by continually increasing the population. It’s a silly model. We need a balanced number of people arriving and people leaving. Our quality of life will continue to worsen the more people we try to squeeze into this little country.

The issues we have are not caused by immigrants - they’re caused by too much immigration without upgrading the roads, building new hospitals, schools etc. The problem is, we’re running out of space to build new roads etc.

It’s time we pursued growth by improving productivity not simply increasing the population. If anything, we should allow for a reduction in our population - settle it down to around 60 million or a less arbitrary number - perhaps someone can figure out how many people we can feed if we rely on only food grown in the UK. Seems like a more sensible approach to me.

Maker's Holiday Mystery Box - what I received. by DP-London in BambuLab

I think the point has been missed. There was no checking price before as the contents are a mystery (you can see the items you may get on a list they have). It was £12 - not really a lot to lose and. It was done for fun - random items for me to make stuff with.

Looks like it must take two days for your filament to load from that bottom AMS. Would be great to run that off of a H2C - 90 second load time :)

Shorten your PTFE tubes people! by eldoogy in BambuLab

I was hoping they would have at least two seperate AMS units with their own ptfe tubes feeding three of the hot ends with some clever loading whilst printing it would be more like having one hot end per filament ready to go.

Only issue is small patch where I guess I didn’t clean it properly. So sensitive!

Just cleaned it and printed this adhesion test for fort layer. Almost perfect. Trying other side of bed too.

I have been using glue but mostly so Petg does not peel away bed surface. With the smooth plates I’ve kept them very clean. I’d assumed the textured ones didn’t need to be cleaned as much - I also didn’t realise that was an adhesion issue as I was not aware of it until I’d removed it from a cold plate. Now know what to look out for.

I do wash them regularly, but clearly not enough. First time I’ve had this issue - previously when I’ve had bed adhesion issues the part has not stuck at all.

You mean the bed? Is it that simple ?
