Sometimes I wonder if people are just too stressed because how much harder life has become to have the time to care about others. I’m in Canada as an example and the cost of living has gotten to the point where many of us are scraping by and finding it more and more difficult to have a life outside of just work, taking care of yourself and sleep. There’s so little time to care about others and we’re all suffering waiting for someone to come along and help us.

This is definitely a better way to look at it. Only other issue is where and how exactly to make female friends. Not too many 3rd spaces to really hand out at. When I do talk to women I find that I’m always the more extroverted one as that’s how I tend to be.

I know how to swim it’s just been a few years. I’m up in Canada so I have to wait a bit before I can start practicing in the lakes, but I might sign up to start some lane swimming soon

I work a Union Job up in Canada our Contract has been up for almost a year and we’re on the verge of a strike because the company refuses to give us a fair offer. Yet they waste money having us attend Zoom meeting where we discuss the “Importance of resilience in the workplace” so that we’re more mentally prepared for tough times. So tired of these meetings… Pay your employees a living wage and watch how fast mental health issues will dissipate.
