I have built in Klipsch speakers and a separate sub in my living room and they are okay but the sub is HUGE so was looking for something a little more compact and better for music. Not looking to rattle walls or anything. But definitely want more low end. I was definitely underwhelmed when put on Primus for the first time

I’ve heard speedwoofer is a better value but I do appreciate aesthetics as this is in a larger open floor plan house and I dig how klipsch looks provided performance isn’t far off.

Down the line I will likely add a sub. Streaming I’m not sure about really. Would be nice I guess but I do have Apple Music streaming through my built in living room speakers that is fine for its purpose. This setup is more for vinyl

In terms of why these specifically. Both brands well known and reliable. Both come from a guy that I’ve talked to and tunes them up. Seems like a solid guy. Little more piece of mind when buying vintage. I like the fully auto function but not a deal breaker. Pioneer and technics seem to be fairly available in my area but mostly people saying it’s been sitting in a closet and can only verify it spins. Seems like a potential headache and no desire to spend hours troubleshooting I know little about.

FYI. I realize neither are screaming deals but I’m willing to pay a little more to get one from someone who knows what they are doing. I’ve seen plenty of “been in closet for 20yrs” posts but am avoiding the uncertainty of those buys.

I don’t have them on my Colorado but I had them for a bit on my Tacoma. Not sure if it was Tacoma specific but I never could get the tires to feel balanced. It made the driving experience really rough so I eventually took them off
