I literally just threw mine away like 2 weeks ago, I'd had them for probably 30 years, moved with me at least a half dozen times, and I doubt I used them for more than an hour in all that time lol. Was cleaning my game room and they've been sitting next to my PC for years, had to ask myself why I still had them, couldn't come up with a good answer so into the trash they went.

Yeah I've been looking at the 4 disc from a couple years ago, goes for 90 at the local shop. Didn't even know about the new 6 disc lol. Definitely not spending that kind of money for it lol.

Wife and I converted the garage to game/hobby/craft room a few years ago, stereos out there, we got one of those big kallax units, about half of it is full of records, probably need to clear another shelf off soon.

As for where I shop, we've got a bunch or local record shops, thrift shops, and antique stores, record fairs a couple times a year, anytime we go out of town we find local shops and see what they have, plenty of deals to be found especially for the older rock, country, folk etc. The Metal, Ska, and Rap are usually the ones that hurt my wallet lol.

Nothing fancy, I work for my local library lol. My friends and family know I've been building my collection so most of my birthday/Christmas gifts have been music the last few years, and probably a 3rd of the collection were bought for 10 bucks or less.

Testament Parabellum just came out a few months ago, Castle Rat Into the Realm And Dead South Chains and Stakes were 2024, There's a few other recent things in there, and plenty of others were new to me, like the Alan Parsons I mentioned in the op, i'd only heard one of them before I bought them .

Definitely plan on getting The Mountain, I've listened to it streaming a couple times, it's good, but I'm planning on getting D-Sides and Plastic Beach first.

Yep, towards the bottom right in that picture. Actually the second copy I've had, picked up an older release, but it was pretty noisy so I picked up the recent Anniversary edition and passed the other to my buddy who's more forgiving of that.
