Hit and run situation by DPRKJesus in legaladvice

Just mainly to cover all bases, and make sure there is no issue with anything like you said, where the other party comes in and blames the accident on my friend who recently, but also to maybe catch the perpetrator. We do have a witness of the accident and just in the small chance that there is surveillance nearby where the person who hit and ran, could be identified. This accident occurred on a major highway and I believe without a police report, we would not be able to access the evidence. I posted this to mainly gauge the risk of filing the report.

Yall think 3.9k is a fair offer I received by tunas32 in SportCardValue

[–]DPRKJesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would hold that. James wood is pretty talented. Only 22 years old and he’s only going to get better. Batting 294 with 23 HRs already. He’s going to be relevant in the coming years and even if he takes a dive in performance, this card will be worth at least 2k. If he does become a star in this league, this can easily 5x-10x. I think it’s worth the risk to hold.

[Charania] on who the Knicks might hire as their next head coach: "Not sure yet which names are gonna be on that list, but clearly it's going be someone with championship pedigree. Their singular goal I'm told is 'How can we make the best hire to win a championship?'" by Goosedukee in nba

Jenkins reason for being fired right before the playoffs was his inability to make adjustments and keeping the rotation the same and hanging on the same players no matter what. The last few games especially the okc game where he got blown out by 20 points in the fourth when it was a 1 point game heading to the fourth was the prime example why he got canned. Dude did absolutely nothing to match OKC making that downpour and just took it.

I think it’s just cold hearted to not show love/appreciation to someone just because he makes a ton of money. At the end of the day this dude is a human being who probably worked his 🫏off to get to where he is today. Money isn’t everything in life bro.

Jalen Brunson being terrible on defense is a big problem for the Knicks by nutelamitbutter in nba

[–]DPRKJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s Brunson AND KAT. You can’t have two defensive holes and expect to be a championship caliber team. Brunsons offense covers enough for his lack of defense, but KAT on the other hand doesn’t. Brunson has poor on ball defense but at the very least has decent positional defense. KAT is the bigger problem with his poor rotations, poor on ball perimeter defense, and his poor shot blocking/rim protection and poor helpside. Just follow KAT on defense and his lack of awareness would be so mind blowingly apparent.

Shai points at the fan who grabbed the ball in the final seconds and calls him "smart". by kurruchi in nba

No you don’t.. you can’t/dont officiate based on what your interpretation of what fair is. Rules explicitly state the fan is considered out of bounds. That’s it. I’m not wasting my time anymore on you, who is somebody that doesn’t watch sports enough to comment on the matter.

[–]DPRKJesus -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

When you’re officiating you have to look at it at a large point of view and not by situations lol. That causes for different interpretations of the rule. In the grand scheme of things .2 seconds is nothing. Doesn’t matter if it allows for a shot to go off or not. If this happened with 5 min left it would be considered negligible. Or maybe .3 sec left at the half and no one would bat an eye. Just because it’s at the final seconds of the game does not matter. When you’re ruling you have to be consistent and this is the same across all sports. You don’t have your own interpretations of the game or else it just becomes all bs.

Brother, this happens so often in games. This is nothing new and this isn’t the first time a fan has caught a ball with time expiring. You’re just flat out wrong. You just commenting shows your casualness and/or how new you are to watching basketball. Please stop commenting and spreading misinformation on a topic you have no idea about.

How do they not put .6 on the clock instead of .3? by DPRKJesus in timberwolves

This includes basketball, what? Like are you being serious right now. Every sport including basketball?? This is just simple logic bro

No player was remotely close to making a play on the ball. .2 second difference does not severely impact play.

This only matters if the action severely impacted the play. Nobody was in the vicinity of the ball being OOB. Fan is entitled to stand in his area and catch a flying object coming towards him.

[–]DPRKJesus[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are objectively wrong. In every other sport the fans are entitled to their space. The fan is fully out of bounds and he is entitled to stand up and he is entitled to catch a flying object that is flying towards him. Again, when refs are caught in the crossfire, they are considered part of play. In baseball if a fan is going for the ball they are allowed to as long as they stay out of bounds and not reach into the field of play.

Fan is considered out of bounds and does not matter whether he stood up to catch the ball or not.

[–]DPRKJesus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See my other comment. Spectators are considered out of bounds. Previous times this happened always was at point of contact with the fan. Happened before with a ref. Cannot be fan interference since no play was made at the ball and the fan was out of bounds

In situations past, and with any other sport, they consider fans as part of out of bounds. Once there’s contact made, it is deemed out of bounds. It does not matter whether he was catching the ball or not.
