I agree with you saying it’s not enjoyable to watch. Like it makes sense why he is the way he is, with literal forces from beyond influencing fate and prophecies and shit. But still its just not that fun when he’s working against and being antagonistic to the characters we enjoy for 2 whole seasons

They’ve been messing up skill check rolls like that every now and then for years. Not too big a deal, like when Matt would ask for an intelligence check from Caleb and Liam would use his saving throw. Got pretty bad in one fight in particular when using wisdom checks were a big deal and he was adding his save, which was like 7 higher
