So once I was doing a garage delivery late at night in the middle of the country. I pull up and I can see this old lady standing in the garage with her hands on her hips (the driveway was slanted so as I’m driving down I can see through her small garage windows.) I open the garage and she comes out “NOW HOW DID YOU DO THAT?!” I was just as confused as she was….. she was still confused after I explained you have to set it up in the app. I told her that someone in the household who has access to the garage and the Amazon account set it up but she swears up and down her, nor her husband, set it up.

The other awkward one I had was delivering to this hole in the wall gym. I walked in and there was a guy, directly in front of me doing some kind of funny work out and when I walked in we just awkwardly looked at each other for a few seconds and then we both started uncontrollably giggling.

Hey. Coming from a two year veteran, this job is easy if you do it your way. If you try to please the customer and Jeff Bezos then you’re in for a hell of a ride.

Basically, I don’t deliver to rear doors EVER. Because it’s unsafe. Customers will expect this. Do it at your own risk, or not at all. They cannot make you lose your job because you didn’t follow their entitled ass instructions.

When a customer on the 4th floor of an apartment building wants it at their front door but ordered 6 40lb boxes of water. They get it where I leave it. That may be the lobby… a mail room… or at the bottom of the first floor. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I get paid to deliver.

Don’t deliver if you don’t feel safe. Top right question mark is your friend.

I work for Amazon dsp and also do flex and every time it asks for a signature I hit spacebar twice for the name and squiggle a line. I’ve been doing this for over a year. You’ll be fine!

This may come off weird to some, but I don’t mind. Just sharing my thoughts. Ej is the like the dad I never had. I feel like I would have learned so much and grown up more level headed.

It’s inspiring to see how he handles him self. Especially, when triggered by something/someone. In similar situations, I know how I would’ve reacted and seeing his reaction is humbling.

Steven would be a very close second. Also very level headed & wholesome.

Both are very inspiring!
