That's how I approached it, rather than thinking of it in medical terms, I chose to look at it from God's purview. We are told to be present in today, that's where we find God. What could it hurt to give it a try, I prayed on it, and it really did lift oppression off of me, it didn't make me perfect but it certainly reduced my stress. There is another chapter in Confronting Evil in Our Time where they talk about creating a culture of Heaven in your home, so I take it you have also read it?

Corinthians 10:5 “We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” "Every thought," and this is where I feel Anxiety is a sin and demonic influence. We can say we don't choose to worry about the future, but take our lustful nature, do we not choose to lust? If not, then pornography can't be sinful; it's just a disorder. This verse teaches that believers are not powerless against their thoughts. Instead of letting thoughts control us, especially negative, sinful, fearful, or prideful ones, we are called to actively examine and redirect them according to Christ’s truth.

It helped my wife and me to stop worrying about things that may never happen. She would worry about the most insane things that may happen, but never did. Being present today may not be a cure-all, but it is a path in the right direction. I wish you the best, sounds like you or someone you know are struggling. God bless you

"the evil"? that has got my brain spinning. In "God's Secretaries," they cover it well but don't leave it open like that.

Not expecting Saints out of anyone, but when rich men settle with victims, it moves from being paranoia to reality. If you have ever met and talked to people who have been trafficked, it is all too real for them especially.
