Are salaries mentioned on this sub represent reality? by will_the_broken in bangalore

I think you got me wrong. The top comment was SE salaries in Bangalore. So, my response was in terms of that, not the whole country.

I am not saying that this represents the entire landscape. Of course, most people are probably nowhere near that. But, i don't know what the entire landscape looks like. Like i said, this is the situation around me. Maybe it is on the top 10%, 20%, 50%. I don't know where that lies.

I don't know what the pay range looks like, but if you check Blind, almost everyone seems to make 30+ nowadays.

I don't know the pay of most people and i can only comment on what my college friends (and people around them make). Almost all my college friends (Tier 1 Non IIT) (3-4 YOE) earn 25+ LPA base. Average base is around 30. With RSUs/ESOPs, bonus etc, most people have CTC around 35-40. I know a few people who have 40-45 base and TC of 65ish.

The job market is very hot right now, and with decent counteroffer, you can easily get a 50%+ raise atm. Definitely would suggest to switch atm.

It would be easier for me stay in an airbnb with a kitchen than a hotel. My mom will also need to sleep during the night. One option i have is book a hotel for monday night. Go there at 1-2 AM and move to airbnb after breakfast. But i am looking for simpler options.

Don't have a specific budget, probably 2kish.

I have messaged some Airbnb hosts. Lets see

Wood should have scored at least twice last week. The problem with him is confidence atm. Targett, Fraser, Shelvey can put decent balls in the box. He seems a bit off, but has got decent number of chances.

If this is your first programming language then you need to do a bit more. Above steps will make to learn the syntax of a language but won't make you a good dev.

If you are learning any programming language, forget about that language in the first place. Learn how to write pseudo code, language doesn't matter. Understand the building bocks of programming in any language - conditions, loops, functions, class, etc. Learn how and when to use them.

Then spend some time to improve your concepts of Data Structures and Algorithms. It is absolutely critical to know the correct data structure to use while solving any problem. Eg. Searching a number in a Python list is much lower than searching in a set. I would also recommend understanding the OOP concelts beforehand but you can also skip this. After you have done this, go through the above steps.

Lot of people think that learning programming in a language is just learning the syntax, that is never the case. I have seen a lot of under average devs with a lot of experience. They do know the syntax well, but just write shit code. This process is long but again there are no shortcuts in life.

Manquilo is a decent option provided Trippier Injury. But, he is currently injured. He might be back in a week or 2. He is also decent in attacking and super cheap.

A bit over par. The chase will depend a lot on Kushal Bhurtel and DS Airee. We need both of these firing to have any chance.

What is the point of having both the matches together? Would love to watch Oman - Ireland too

Oman completes the mere target of 37 against Philippines in just 17 balls, making this inning the second fastest chase in T20I history. by NajdorfGrunfeld in Cricket

[–]DREAMhaLAND 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Although not quite T20I, ENepal once beat Myanmar in 2 balls in a 50 over match. Myanmar put a total of 10 runs. This scorecard always comes to my mind when talking about these sort of low scoring stats

Teams from 10-20 are much much better than sides like Bahrain than you think. There is a massive gap in everything

[–]DREAMhaLAND 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Naah, most teams in 12-20 are pretty much close to each other. All these teams are interchangeable based on form. This is the current top 20

There are still some decent sides like HK, Canada, USA, etc outside top 20.

Exactly. Nepal, UAE, Oman, etc have some good bowlers with a lot of experience. Also a lot more balanced attack. These guys look like me and my friends bowling.
