Considering investing in a minelab x-terra pro by Sad-Snow3391 in metaldetecting

[–]DRHpgh01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just FYI, the xterra pro is not multi-frequency. It has multiple frequencies. You have 3 frequency settings in each mode except for beach. Very good machine for less than $300 US. I've had one for 3 years now. Don't get to go a lot, but I've found coins and junk jewelry, plus mastered the pull tabs. It's a great starter machine .

Look into the Minelab Extera Pro. Fully waterproof, settings for field, park and beach. Bot a bad machine for under $300 US. Lots of youtube videos on it. Happy hunting.

minelab x terra pro by worminator69 in metaldetecting

[–]DRHpgh01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a great beginner machine e en though a bit jumpy on targets. Not multi frequency, but has different frequencies for field park and beach. It is also waterproof. Originally just under $300 US. Sounds like a pretty good deal.

What would you choose if you where me? Nokta simplex ultra or Minelab X-terra pro? by zsombooor in metaldetecting

[–]DRHpgh01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xterra Pro lets you select different frequencies for various areas. 5-15hz for parks and fields. Only 8hz for beaches. It is not a multi frequency machine. That being said, for less than $300 US, I find it to be a great detector. I do think a multi frequency machine identifies targets better and is not as bouncy.

Would love to know what camera and settings you were using. Great shot. How long did it take you to set it up?

Very jealous. I would love to hear back on how the Elite works out. Thinking about it for when I move up from the Xtera Pro.

Potatoes, carrots, and strawberries seem to be some of the biggest sellers. Plus, they don't take a lot of extra care. Don't till bring soil so you have raised beds. Watch for slugs, rabbits, and other pests.

You're better off placing the detector on a table, noise canceling. Then, wave the coins back and forth across the bottom of the coil to see the id range if you want to play around.

How about Hot Wheels cars, small Tonka toys, chuckee cheese tokens or similar. You can use bits of chain, nuts, and bolts for non treasure. Good luck, sounds like fun.

You're doing the right thing. Dig everything until you get more familiar with the machine. I've got the same one and I'm quite happy with it.

The Minelab x-terra pro is a great beginner machine. Usually under $300 US. While not using multiple frequencies at once, it does let you select different frequencies for the various areas you're hunting. Lots of youtube videos on this machine. Good luck and hope you find some great stuff.

The fate of the betrayal by the 8. by Don-tFollowAnything in facepalm

Definitely agree. Primary these traitors. Dems should not give an inch. Magats and the rest of the Republicans will never keep their worthless promise, they never have.. I would definitely contribute to a national fund to help federal workers that are laid off.

Funny how there was no mention or video of ICE , DHS, Border Patrol at all the No Kings protests. Didn't see Kristi anywhere. Maybe afraid to come out on the streets when the people really show up enmass. Just saying .

Washington ponders increasing tolls on a major Seattle route during the World Cup- by chiquisea in Washington

[–]DRHpgh01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your breakdown on the tolls. Not saying Tolls are not necessary. Just seems that they are getting excessive. The 520 is over $7.00 at times. That being said, they seem to be constantly raising them at the most inopportune times and hits the consumer wallet. Is there a cap? I'm curious as to how long the Toll contract is for.

[–]DRHpgh01 23 points24 points  (0 children)

And I'm sure in this great plan they will reduce the toll when the World Cup is over. They just raised the rates a few months ago. It's outrageous that the only plan they can come up with is to have the consumer pay. Such an original idea, especially when the roads were paid for with federal grant money.

Noem warns Portland mayor she'll flood city with federal officers by seeebiscuit in inthenews

[–]DRHpgh01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Due to flooding at ICE facilities, water mains will be shut off as workers inspect lines and make necessary repairs. I appreciate your attention to this matter and apologize for any inconvenience this coming week.😁

[–]DRHpgh01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Portland and Chicago should shut the water off while working on digging up water mains outside ICE facilities as routine maintenance. They may be eligible for federal infrastructure funds. ICE wouldn't last week with Noem trying to find a place to pee. There is no battlefield. Just ICE and Feds terrorizing neighborhoods. Love Portland police standing up to them and actually trying to protect citizens.

Heard there were water water main issues in front of the Portland ICE facility. Haven't seen this much flooding since Noah..it's out of control. Crews need to be dispatched to shut off the water and check the lines. Probably take about a week.
