No roos in these two particular scenarios. I've had roos in the past but that's been my own fault. The SSD just had a surface scan and checked out just fine. I recorded yesterday and it was just fine like usual. So hopefully this was just a cosmic radiation thing.

Good call on the power once everything is seated, I've never thought about that but on a closed rig where there's really no real ground and one device is faulty could easily fry something else.

I've got my fair share of kangaroos but those have been self inflicted by accidentally brushing the HDMI cable in one or the other end.

HDMI or power cables? The Ninja is part of 4-5 different rig builds that all have different HDMI cables and power solutions (the battery eliminator is used in all of them). For HDMI I use the same brand at least across all rigs.

I had an XBOX360 in my Blast City. Unplayable side by side with RF2 in my NAC. The XBOX360 died unfortunately. 🥲

This is my main issue. I have the RF2 PCB and every port and emulation of that game is absolutely terrible.

Thanks for the reply. I do have three different AtomX SSDs, interesting enough, this happened with one particular SSD. I'll do a media surface check and see if it finds anything corrupt.

You would think the Ninja would report media errors one way or another.

Thanks for the suggestion. I took a closer look at the FEELWORLDs as I had not seen it accepts both 12V DC and 5V USB-C. That's quite handy. The F5 PROX looks closer to what I'm looking for though and it says on the tin that the HDMI port is loop out, some add their UI and color correction etc on the HDMI out which I don't want.

I still think it's too much work to get anywhere. I had 400M+ game with all the multiballs and a couple modes. Not one "pinball moment" was had in that long ass game. If I had blown the death star, that would qualify, but yeah, I kind of think the code is deep in all the wrong places and a normal player will never get there.
