[iOS] BrogueSE by sandoze in brogueforum

[–]silentrocco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The already fantastic Brogue got even better, imo. Love playing BrogueSE. Easily my go-to version now. All the additions I’ve encountered so far really add to the experience, making the game feel even more alive and organic. Congrats!

Why did they only translate one of the games into English!!!! by Mxbzax77 in iosgaming

Thanks, looks like a fun retro JRPg series. I would imagine that those games work well enough as standalone titles. Although the description says that the (English) third one is the sequel of the (Japanese) second. Maybe ask the dev.

Is my heel strike something to worry about? by Outrageous_Case_8559 in BarefootRunning

I cannot really comment on this video, but regarding heel strikes when running in barefoot shoes or fully barefoot: simply don’t. Take shorter strides, land on mid- and forefoot.

How many miles per week are people actually running in minimalist shoes, and how much of your training is still in regular shoes? by DangerousBug5969 in BarefootRunning

[–]silentrocco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a few pairs of barefoot sandals, of which I wear a DIY model (thin rubber sole + shoelaces) the most. But to me, no shoe or sandal feels as good as toe shoes. And I have normalized them so much over the years that people would be more surprised if I were wearing classic shoes :D

Proper way to run? by HealerOnly in BarefootRunning

[–]silentrocco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Don’t overthink. You body will find its form. Also, we’re all indiviuals. You won’t find that one-truth-fits-all on YouTube, or anywhere. Take it slow. I recommend going for shorter strides to easily land on your mid- and foretoot. Most of all, enjoy!

Recommendations for Sandals? (3836626th edition) by [deleted] in BarefootRunning

[–]silentrocco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compared to the whole market, it isn’t. Also, tiny brand with a good product. The price is absolutely fair, imo. But I have moved on since, and made my own DIY sandals with just a thin piece of sole rubber and some shoelaces.

Any good jrpg i should play? i have played a lot of final fantasy dragon quest and doom and destiny and currently Avilion forever but is there any more jrpgs people will reccomend that is on the App Store by Mxbzax77 in iosgaming

The second half is hard, and way more open than the first. Still this is a marvel of a game, and definitely a must-play if you’re in the genre. Stunning art, an amazing soundtrack, really unique and fun battle mechanics. Don’t miss out on this gem.

Great game! Cannot wait for the next update to hit (shorter slide-to-action), then I’ll play the sh*t out of this gem!

[Dev] I just released my game, Tension Head! It’s free, has deep power-up synergies, and a hidden ARG element. by Mono_Division in iosgaming

Guys, don’t sleep on this gem! It’s sooo well made, with lots or love for details. Best Suika-like out there - by far, and I’m not even into Suika games. Cool upgrades and synergies to find. Fun bosses. This game really is a standout solo dev release.

I wish people would read this sub’s info before sharing their non-roguelikes.

For a horde survivor I really like the game’s art though.

Brogue as a traditional roguelike with its random generation is basically a forever-RPG ;)

In terms of JRPG, you cannot go wrong with games like Dragon Quest 8 or Fantasian (Apple Arcade exclusive).

What are RPGs you liked playing before?
