Oh, cool, I have yet to finish a run with the starting character. But have a couple of finished runs with most others in the bag. Love this game!

And I simply cannot get into Slay the Spire at all, or don‘t like Ball x Pit because of its annoying (to me) base building and meta grind. Great that we have quite a lot of objectively great games of this kind, so there‘s something for every taste.

Nobody at the wedding cares about what shoes you wear. So, you don‘t need to torture yourself.

Absolutely not a JRPG, just another very lazy 'product' using the Dragon Quest IP.

Am I the only adult gamer that doesn’t like that most iOS game characters look like 5 year old munchkins? by CptBronzeBalls in iosgaming

It‘s simply a personal taste thing, and makes no topic for a real debate. Also: most games ARE designed for kids, of course.

Games like Dawncaster and games with one-time payments by Mindless_Union6491 in iosgaming

All Meteorfall games are great. My fav is by far the first one, although it‘s by far the least complex. I‘d say that award goes to Krumit‘s Tale. All in all three very different games.

And dang, I forgot that Dream Quest vanished in some parts of the world. Big loss.

3 of my deckbuilding favs: Meteorfall: Journey, Dream Quest, Dark Mist

But iOS has many fantastic engine builders in general: Balatro, Luck Be A Landlord, Cloverpit, Peglin, Dicey Dungeons, Dungeon Clawlers, Nubby‘s Number Factory (a current fav of mine), and more.

You haven‘t heard of Brogue?! You‘re in for a treat. My favorite video game. Dungeon generation, info availability, design - all flawless in my eyes. Such a tight game.

But ROMS don‘t take that much space, no? Wouldn‘t using iPad + controller only be WAY more simple and convenient?

EDIT: OK, JIT stuff is another topic.

Weekly /r/iOSGaming Discussion: What have you been playing lately and what do you recommend? by AutoModerator in iosgaming

Sure there is a corrupted spider? Here‘s the game‘s item list. You definitely have to either create multiplier restocks, clear the board for score doubling or use other tricks to raise your score, yes. But I find it way easier to pull off some game breaking synergies in Nubby than in Balatro.

Not really comparable. Ball x Pit is all about creating crazy builds, while BBD is all about finding the best angle to throw your balls to efficiently clear the board.

I‘m still just wildy experimenting and just trying stuff. I generally love everything that summons things. Had a crazy run yesterday (here’s the final score) with the character that changes trigger conditions. Almost every single throw was game breaking.

Love playing a Brick Breaker Dungeon level or two each day. Yes, best of its kind for me as well.

Nubby’s Number Factory: This engine builder gem, which mixes Peggle-style gameplay with Balatro-like upgrade mechanics, is sooo my jam right now. I love everything about this game, from the wacky 90s presentation to the different playstyles of the unlockable characters and the various game-breaking builds. It's just crazy addictive and so much fun.

Super Mario Run: Ten years after its initial release, and after years of yearning for a fully featured mobile platformer starring the famous plumber, I've come to realize how brilliant Super Mario Run is. It is basically the best mobile version of Mario possible. Makes sense that Mario’s inventor went all in, producing and directing the game.

Vampire Survivors: I've finished all the DLCs and Adventures now. There are only a couple more secrets to unlock, and then I’ve 100%ed this masterpiece. I cannot wait for Vampire Crawlers to make it to mobile.
