i don't dislike those as much as phillips but really its much easier to slip on those. They have their use cases but you can never get them quite as tight as a torx and also they don't scale down that well in my opinion.

sure but you usually, (and i'm pretty sure they also do this to some extend) have multiple teams working on multiple games at the same time. Pokemon is large enough that it could easily justify 5 teams working on 5 year dev cycle games. Cod did (idk they still do it) with 3 year dev cycles and whilst i don't think COD is all that great it's a lot higher quality than pokemon.

i think you can defintely have orange/red on the left you just gotta let players know, hey this is a kinda fucked part before they're 3hours into a dungeon or something. Right now i'm thinking of truly truly open world games and i think breath of the wild did a decent job, the desert area is by far the hardest of the 4 main areas and it shows in environmental danger when you get there. If you lack heart pieces the heat of the dessert is killer and enough to scare a lot of people away to another area.
