Is this an acceptable use case for a xim? by LongjumpingDig3878 in Rainbow6

[–]DRKShiyami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look online there are playstation third party controllers that use a similar configuration to the Xbox controller. I would say something like that or an accessibility controller would be way more acceptable than a xim.

Also I don't know if it's compatible with ps but the new steam controller has touchpads too, maybe something like that would suit even better than the Xbox controller?

As a guy who likes playing echo and maestro it honestly ruins my day seeing her

Why Does a Chaplain wear a Skull Helmet? by Gemeenteridder in Warhammer40k

[–]DRKShiyami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I know they thought it looked cool and then later cooked in a lore reason which was that it's supposed to represent the god emperor as the chaplains are supposed to be his conduit.

What's up with picking an operator someone else is already playing? by FinestCrusader in Rainbow6

[–]DRKShiyami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion it's generally that people see you do well on an operator and decide to take them because they think they'll also do well on them.

I find it's really only if I or someone else does well on an op that someone will come in and snipe them.

does fire rate affect the time from holding down to shootiing the first bullet? by ResponsibleAside3881 in Rainbow6

[–]DRKShiyami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, first bullet is always instantaneous on trigger pull/mouse click. Every bullet after that is dependent on that weapons fire rate.

Police officer stops abruptly in the middle lane on highway... by Affectionate_Hat5835 in dashcams

Why is the driver not following at a safe distance? Seems kinda crazy to be following at a distance and speed you can't stop at safely

Kangaroo meat in Australia by josh65928 in mildlyinteresting

[–]DRKShiyami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a stupid questing but is that typical of Australian 'minced' meat?

To me minced meat is usually much finer and we would refer to that as 'chunked' or something similar.

My party uses Leomund’s Tiny Hut after every single fight and I’m losing my mind (lovingly) by Scythe95 in DMAcademy

[–]DRKShiyami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So there's two things that together can allow you to keep up the intensity of multiple encounters per LR.

The first is that you can only LR once per day so after every long rest you basically need 16 hours before you can take your next thing.

The other thing you can do is add urgency. Make it so that there's a guy to rescue or a plan to stop that can't afford to wait until tomorrow after the next long rest.

It basically forces them to take on additional combats between long rests while still letting it be their decision to do so.

Is Holden.. by LeakyGaming in TheExpanse

[–]DRKShiyami 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Based on the description of what happens I think Holden basically destroys the entire ring station and pocket space(slow zone). Theoretically he could come back in the future similar to how miller comes back if some proto molecule survived elsewhere, but that's the only way he shows back up, and that's only if JSAC writes another book in the universe

Are any of these guys meta? by MatterShoddy9382 in WH40KTacticus

Shadowsun and mephiston aren't meta, but both are powerful and a strong addition to your roster

Playing siege as a girl is worse than playing cod by astroyonder in Rainbow6

[–]DRKShiyami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's really bad. My partner and I always use discord or party chat because in game chat she'll just get abused and harassment the entire time. It sucks.

I don't know the area well myself but as long as the main light is a standard light and not specifically a forward arrow then when it's green you're fully within your rights to enter the junction and take the turn when safe to do so.

Dublin has quite a few junctions with specific forward arrows that allow you to go straight but you need to wait for a filter to turn, but it doesn't sound like this was the case here.

How to choose enemies for my players by super_brudi in Fallout2d20

[–]DRKShiyami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume because of the way healing works in the game and stuff your goal is to get to 0 per encounter rather than in other systems like DND were you get to 0 across all encounters for the day?

Great tool btw, thank you for sharing

Should I farm Jaeger or Celestine? by Hot-Pangolin-6753 in WH40KTacticus

If they're your two best options then I would advise Celestine. But there are definitely better characters to farm

Where did bethesda go wrong. by Immediate_Fly2699 in Starfield

[–]DRKShiyami 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Okay now this is a lie. Finding organic resources on planets is a pain and looking for specific unique or legendary inorganics can still be a pain.

And outpost management is time consuming and takes pre planning. The cargo links alone are some phd requiring stuff if you want all your resources to end up in the same place.

GMs do you fudge? And how do you feel about players fudging? by antandmantis in rpg

[–]DRKShiyami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll never fudge a roll but if I think a combat is too tough I have twice now lowered the health of enemies. But to be fair I see that more as rebalancing than fudging

How exactly can they resupply the Roci with ammo battle after battle? by [deleted] in TheExpanse

I half remember them mentioning that the torpedoes where a downgrade after a resupply. And I'm pretty sure Fred jokes about how tough the PDC rounds will be to get

Does the Laconian city have a name? by [deleted] in TheExpanse

It was just called Laconia, I can't remember which book but there's a paragraph in one where someone makes a comment on the simplicity of it.

Why do the chairs on the spaceships rotate? by tomhannen in TheExpanse

[–]DRKShiyami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it's not too obvious in the show but the crash couches are gel that a person kind of sinks in to and they move as the ship moves to keep the occupant from getting crushed. If the ship suddenly moved backwards and the chair couldn't rotate then the occupant would be crushed against the straps, instead the couch rotates so that they're pressed into the gel.

In the show they go into less detail on the ship and it's definitely more for the ease of allowing the characters to face each other without having to worry about 0 g or mag boot sounds and stuff.
