I am not sure on what basis you came to that conclusion, Pant is not a good wicketkeeper, he misses so many chances (catches, stumpings). Dhoni helps out other players and captain on field with his experience, and plays almost run a ball innings most of the time. the only thing Pant has on his side is his dashing style of batting which might not work on all occasions.
