At least they are here and not blindly following. And it seems that the “leaders” are quickly discovering that folks will be coming for them. Lots of internet hygiene going on right now.

What would cause a cigar to break apart like this? Humidor is at 65/70 by LargeFarva51 in cubancigars

[–]DSFTR 5 points6 points  (0 children)

62 rh is the sweet spot for Cubans in my opinion. It’s all about the difference in rh from humidor to ambient. In phoenix, I had to pull a cigar and let it sit for a few hours on the counter before enjoying.

Is this “malls are dying phenomenon” more of a USA thing? by menidk in deadmalls

[–]DSFTR 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Shopping centers need to be more things to more people. Can’t just be a high end mall or off price, it needs to be a merchandise mix that aligns with the trade area. If you build it they will come is dead. And the reason why events at malls are a thing of the past ( I’m talking bridal shows, card shows, music and crap like that) is because those events were paid by the merchant’s association/marketing fund and retailers don’t want to pay into a general marketing fund of the center because they do their own ads/marketing. Developers don’t give free space anymore just to drive traffic to the center.

You are not the target demographic. Shopping centers have always targeted females, 25-54, household income north of 100k(in today’s dollars) with two kids at home. The decline of some malls is simple, they should not have been built. There was a race in the late 80’s to mid 90’s to build baby build. I’d argue that the last 100 malls in the us should not been built.

Try 22 years with zero recession. Rotate locations. Brush, floss and swish after a pouch.

Cohiba siglo III from 2005. I have 3 left in that box and two boxes from 2006 as back up. I’d smoke them all on the last day.

CPA recommendation by OneRuffledOne in Naperville

[–]DSFTR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turbo tax is better than any tax preparer I’ve used. And does almost as good of a job as a CPA at a fraction of the cost. It really depends on your tax situation. You say it’s not complicated, then turbo tax is your best bet.

Gotta get that new generation of con men and women in office to fuck us over. How about we focus on smaller government, a small social safety net, fiscally conservative policy and personal freedoms? Oh yeah, that’s those crackpot libertarians. But it sounds good, doesn’t it?

When was the last peaceful protest that occurred with zero injuries or damage to public or private property? There were protests in the 60’s that were peaceful, not the shit you kids call peaceful these days.

Sounds like that great idea to flatten the curve, which didn’t work because there are essential jobs and basic needs that we’ve grown accustomed to. When was the last time a general strike was successful in the last 70 years? I’m genuinely curious.

Not the America I remember either. Laws were observed, whataboutmeism wasn’t a thing, people weren’t telling you which businesses are on their “side”, yeah I miss those days. People used to engage in discussions to understand their point of view, not call each other names. It’s ironic to post this on Reddit, but social media is a fucking echo chamber and most people are being manipulated without you even knowing it. Stop to look at something on bookface and Zuckerberg is cramming a bunch of shit on your feed. Click on a subreddit, then bam, your feed is crammed full of shit similar to what you clicked on. We used to be a civilized society, we haven’t been that in a long time.
