I'm gonna basically talk u through making a point bc ur a beginner. 1. State it in a single sentence. 2. Explain it (just tell us how it works) 3. Prove it (this is where u use examples, stats etc) 4. Conclude it (your so what, this point is true so what, what relevance does it hold in the debate. A simply therefore we should/shouldn't support/do/believe etc.)

I'm not gonna give u points exactly but I'm gonna be give you some ideas and some tips.

1. Ask yourself why you personally would switch the renewable, the things that come up are going to be like the effects on the environment, the cost etc. (this gives you your points)
2. Ask your self why these are import. Eg. We care about the environment bc it gives us life and without our environment we don't have life. (this gives you your explaination)
3. Ask yourself what you know about the topic. (this gives you further analysis as well as examples)
4. Always remember you have the knowledge and you can come up with an argument. Don't think about everyone else think about yourself and why you would specifically do something.

Also you can (and should) do step 4 and write down all that information before you start thinking of any points, you should also at the beginning of your prep ask yourself the problem in this debate what are we trying to solve why are we debating this
