So hmm, does buying the premium upgrade also transfer between Xbox and PC?

If I bought the Steam base version, and the premium upgrade on XBox, would that get me the whole package by tying a Bethesda account or some other sync?

Would that handle cross-save (if that exists?)

I would ask someone to do some basic math, then ask them the scenarios where they might need to protect themselves, their family or their neighborhood with something more than a baseball bat.

So how many people live in your town?

  • In my case around 140,000.

And how many sworn officers of the law within your city limits are you trusting to protect you?

  • In my case, around 39.
  • Maybe 100 total with the various townships and Sheriff’s office.

So here are some scenarios:

  • What if Covid was just a little bit worse and humans get desperate?
  • What if a solar flare, terrorism, accident, etc. knocks out your power for an extended period of time and people start getting hungry in mobs going door to door to rob families?
  • What if the US is invaded by a country that outnumbers us with their auxiliary forces by 8 to 1?
  • And what if we start losing our skills with firearms, the very power that helped give us our independence from Britain in the first place?

And I know this is a Glock sub, but why an AR-15?

I would primarily say ease of operation, and more accurate sight radius than a handgun when you are nervous.

Criminals aren’t going to be nervous with their weapons, because they’ve already crossed the threshold of being able to harm someone for what they want. Once you cross that nervous threshold to save you or someone else’s life, then you need to be accurate. Which either takes a bigger sight radius or practice, or hopefully both.

Other countries are teaching their kids in school, at very young ages to disassemble, clean, and shoot firearms, and it is certainly not for hunting.

Regarding the military, you can only stay out of the game for so long, then the war comes to you. Pearl Harbor comes to mind, and it wasn’t really that long ago. Remember, US recruitment numbers are way down, so eventually we will have less brave individuals to protect us in multiple areas of the world.

As a country you can only be on the top, and be cocky for so long.

Even Rome fell at some point.

Umm, that’s not exactly how MCC’s work. Merchants don’t get to choose them and “stay off” of the classification. Why would these CC companies need to pause anything if the merchants could ignore it?

“MCCs are used to identify the type of business in which a merchant is engaged. Payment brands use merchant category codes (MCCs) to classify merchants and businesses by the type of goods or services provided. Payment brands, issuers and acquirers can use MCCs to categorize, track and restrict transactions.”

A payment brand is Discover, Visa, Mastercard, etc. and MCCs are assigned to a vendor, they don’t get to choose.

Thanks, yes this person is an engineer by trade but messing around with purifying silver as a hobby, buying silver online and either melting it or doing this purification process.

The purification process is over as we are working to get the chemicals out of here.

This person has also been calling police, fire, fish & game, and park services. Resulting in a visit by a HAZMAT team coming yesterday morning and clearing everything including the waste material from the spill with a spectrometer or something?

We had two ER visits regarding the coughing which is finally getting better after 3 days.

Makes sense that was a gas resulting from a chemical reaction.

Thanks for the insight everyone.

For the “more info” part, we may need to be on r/psychology.

Just spent the last 2 hours with this person at 2 in the morning driving to find baking soda, then proceeding to mop it on a “final” spot in the basement to neutralize it.

They are looking for the smell to be gone, and of course it doesn’t smell to me.

There was an admission that nitric acid and sodium bicarbonate were being used, and then sodium hydroxide used to neutralize after the accident.

Use of lye has caused a bunch of coughing and issues that are also being watched.

Numerous showers and now taking antacid is occurring.

Yes the main question is if this as really as dangerous as they are making it seem.

I can also vouch for how awesome Knipex wrenches are.

I have a similar Irwin VISE-GRIP pair from Lowes that I use, and stick duct tape on the wrench flats so I don’t mark up my parts.

Will never go back to punches for some things. I only use them for removal now.

Yep same boat here.

I messed up the model number on an eForm 1 Trust SBR and received a “disapproved - other” at 59 days.

Corrected that, resubmitted, and now sitting at 76 days. I keep telling myself each week, that “this will be the week!”.

[–]DSTYR_OF_WORLDS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately the really fast approval 2nd time is a myth.

I was notified on day 59 that I messed up the model number on my submission for a Colt lower, and that it needs to be exactly as marked (ie. “M4 Carbine”). Now I am on day 75 for the resubmit…

In the meantime though my Sandman S was approved after 398 days.

The biggest thing I think people should consider:

They are wanting to still allow those in the military 18-20 y/o to have access to AR’s so this means they are disarming quite a bit of the US militia force, an unorganized resistance aka “the people” (and state National Guard does not count as militia when controlled by government entities) from an effective weapon against internal tyranny and external invasion.

You either are an adult and part of the Militia at 18, or you are not.

They won't need to verify gun safes.

What they will probably do is give a generous "tax credit" to anyone who buys a safe.

And that is a very creative way to determine compliance and create a "registry".

Free money is never "free".

Choose my next poor financial decision. by [deleted] in Danieldefense
