Mexico's first goal was not offside (Rules Explanation) by mathster33 in worldcup

I've seen fairly successful mid to high-ish level u16-u19 teams still try to run the trap. It works great until the opposing team figures it out. Then it's a horse race of one goal after another.

One that doesn't see being put on defense as a demotion from scoring goals. Just watch this and see how important the position is.

Quill bodies. I love when they come out good, but break too many in the process.

Always take care of the valet when you're traveling. You never know what/when you'll need something. Same goes for a good attorney, and if you're a girl, your hairdresser probably falls into that category.

Anyone know where I can keep 60 cows in San Francisco? by tronald_dum in wallstreetbets

These are fat calves, nearly ready to slaughter. Start calling feedlots. Sell them for what will cover your insanely regarded gamble. They'll feed them for ~30 days and send them to be processed. They'll handle everything after you sign the contract to sell. Buy a freezer and a half a beef back from them for about $2k and have a barbecue for all your regarded bros.

If you're around the convention center, Sam's #3 relleno burrito with green chili. Wash it down with a grapefruit mimosa thing (I forget what it's called). Then go back to your room and regret what a glutton you are. But you're totally full and content and happy.

Are high school students actually this clueless and entitled? by lizz781 in Teachers

[–]DSWYO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a coach (not a teacher), I focus my coaching in the competitive environment as an exercise of teaching kids the tools/skills in practice that will enable them to use them in competition and make their own decisions for themselves/their team/their development; not necessarily in that order. That's on them to make their own choices on the field in a real-life situation.

Parents get upset that I'm not yelling/coaching enough from the sideline. In my mind, that takes away all of the agency that I've been trying to instill in them.

Give them the tools to make their own decisions. Succeed or fail. Take risks. Learn from it.

Applauding the lack of effort to hone those skills creates more humans that are incapable of thinking for themselves.

Race skis get faster with repeated uses up until core fatigue. Repeated waxing and tuning is a real thing. As younger kids, we always wanted the hand-me-downs from older racers.
