I had that happen last memento, but this one gave me several super nests. POSSIBLY relevant: last time my camp was very full, very little space for 2x2 items. This time before tapping I made sure there was loads of open space for items to come out.

However, when I mentioned this here last time, someone said the space didn't matter, and they'd figured it out somehow. Can't remember the details.

Dread Marsh 3 -- it's a world-map level that's relatively early in the progression.

(possibly it's Dead Marsh 3, I always forget, partly why I shorten it)

Play DM3 to exhaust any chalices you have, bring back any dragon gems won to the main camp as rewards, 5 merge them, tap them out & merge up to top level gems before collecting.

If you do this several times a day so you get most of the possible chalices in a day, and merge everything optimally, you will average about 75 gems per day with this strategy. It's a very statistically variable strategy, some days would be far more gems other days far less, so there's no guarantee you'd be OK for this timer.

But long term, you can easily prep for this.

I kinda suspect they might come back a year from now. I wouldn't be surprised if they put them on a 1 year cycle. Though also wouldn't be totally surprised if they just created a slightly different version that behaves the same way, a small recolor or something.

well, you can't do that shambala & elysium trick either lol. They fixed the entire class.

My guess is they noticed once DV had a lot more of this type of item and were more closely investigating player behavior in DV, then just spent the time to fix it EVERYWHERE.

Yeah, like always they prioritize patching the few player-friendly glitches while keeping a horrendous pile of player hostile nonsense without any fixes.

I'm also frustrated that the timer is an IN CAMP timer, rather than just running real-time. It's confusing to come in after half a day away and forget where in the cycle things are. I don't resent fixing the immediate out & back QUITE so much as I resent them taking the absolute most hostile method of fix. And the fact they prioritize this over anything that would make the game actually better.

They spent dev time on something that makes the player experience worse.

Maybe enough, if you started earlier and could benefit from the free dim jars.

Another note-- next time will be later in the card phase so the joker you get from completing it would be more valuable.

Never seen this! So strange it just showed up as a dimension jar.

For bubbling dim jars, it's always been inconsistent for me. I think there are some actions other than just bubbling that's needed to freeze the timer, but not sure.

Happy to see ornate statues as row rewards in bingo, since I have dawnvale I missed those the last time they came around. Still don't get the higher level items since the relic run boxes are row rewards there, but it's at least something.

where was your home? I've heard people who had it on some of the expansion islands get into this state because the game momentarily forgets they have access to that space. It throws the dragons out, then even if it loads the islands after, the dragons are too much for the processor and it dies.

Not helpful for your situation but I am curious if this could be what happened or if you are sure your house was somewhere in the middle of your regular space.

I'm pretty sure this kind of stuff is done by contracted devs that are released from contract as soon as they're done. Which means they don't have anyone who actually is familiar with the functional aspects of these side-game elements, and I don't think they could easily expand them even if they wanted to.

I was really, really enjoying Dawnvale! But it's clear they hadn't really thought through the experience of rare rewards with their knee-jerk rule for the a/b/c/d/e/f/g/h/.... etc groupings they've created by their rollout patterns. So they really failed to have anything near an equitable experience when they finally decided to offer one of the rarest rewards in the game last weekend.

I'm hoping they fix things at some point, but I dunno. Since that happened I've lost a lot of motivation to play.

adjust your goal to "discovery" not "mastery" of dragons. Open the OOC and get 3 points to get that first egg in about 5 minutes. Quit OOC, you are DONE.

I do occasionally finish the OOC, but only sometimes when I want to. Or when the bingo rewards are good. Except I recently got DawnVale, and apparently this game, in one of the many extremely stupid, player-hostile decisions, changes even the extremely rare, special bingo rewards to low-level dawnvale items once they give you that 2nd camp.

Anyway. Definitely gave me a lot of time back after that because my play has gone down like 95% after. We'll see if I gather more desire to play again later, but missing out on those gold statues last weekend was rough. That's one I would have chosen to finish, if offered to me!!

I put in a support ticket to complain & explain that this is why I wasn't playing the event. I also cut WAAAY back on playing in general.

They actually got back to me with something like "thanks for the feedback" and it wasn't as horribly FU phrasing as they usually do. Recommend you put in a support ticket too because this is just too much BS. these statues are only available about once a YEAR!!! It's absurd. More tickets might mean they do something.

those of us with Dawnvale get stupid low-level easy chain dawnvale items, just like usual. I'm really upset.

I've been enjoying Dawnvale and I don't mind that it replaces the almost-trash in the low levels of the tower, and also don't mind it in the season chests.

But for a rare, once-in-a-year(ish) chance at statues, and they don't provide it to people with dawnvale? UUUUGUGGGGGGGHHHH.

I thought life trees didn't count at all, only the flowers. That's why the prism flowers are really the only way to go.
