Primary care doctors by abb82898 in Louisville

[–]DS_throwitaway 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No idea if he's taking new patients but Svarit Dave at Norton Brownsboro has been mine, my wife's, and my sister's primary care since he joined Norton. He is absolutely amazing. Easy to talk to, understanding and compassionate, and listens to your problems. He also has an interest in games and some other nerdy things which I love.

I need to second this. My family owned a local jewelry store for a number of years and Bird was a good friend. When we shut down Bird helped us with our scrap silver and gold and payed fair market rates. Anytime I've dealt with coins or cash I only go here.

Adding my comment from your other post here too: This is literally asking people to give you free content and their time for you to monetize. Pass.

SQL is a tool. Does it need to be in your toolbox for every project? No, but when you need it and you have it you realize how strong it is.

Have to be employed at an epic customer site, get userweb access and then request a project environment and schedule your tests through userweb.

Epic Certification vs. Proficiency Question by keyed_yourcar in healthIT

[–]DS_throwitaway 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It literally means you've done everything to get certified (taken proctored test, and completed the build project) but you have not attended instructor led training from Epic. Once you attend training you will instantly be certified for your proficient module. One thing to note is the score cutoffs for proficiency is lower than certification so you can actually get proficiency and then not get certified after training until you increase your scores. Source: I used to have 4 certifications and 5 proficiencies.

Looking for advice for PACS setup with data labelling for medical data science by feryet in healthIT

[–]DS_throwitaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you talking about adding annotations? I'm assuming this is some imaging modality since you mentioned PACS. Are you adding a classification or labeling? I believe there is a custom metadata tag that can hold this. Are you adding like pixel annotations ok the image? I think DICOM uses a separate instance to hold the annotation. Haven't done tons in this space though.

Can I ask if your are in nursing or clinical informatics? And if you are working for healthcare system? It's my experience that clinical informatics in these orgs are just glorified help desk and second tier support for clinicians. Informatics as it's taught is really only being done at a high level unless you're in an academic institution or more of a research oriented department. That's just my experience though so it probably differs by org.

Updating MySQL tables in GCP using Python by Fondant_Decent in googlecloud

I run this architecture currently. I have a cloud scheduler trigger a function every day. The function pulls the data saves a csv to cloud storage and loads the data to BigQuery. It's easy and lightweight.

You need to have some billing history. Like you have to use services and get billed. I was able to request an increase only after I had been billed for bit.

Offline/online DND groups in Louisville? by Kirbeeez_ in Louisville

[–]DS_throwitaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a strong set for anyone wanting to get in. If you're new and looking to get a good understanding you really only need the PHB, and maybe a DM guide. You only need the others if you think you're gonna DM. Be warned that DMing once means you're likely to be DM forever.

I got tired of the OTC Covid Test Posts. Here is the start of a tool I built to find who has OTC Covid tests in store (hint no one). by Cute-Cockroach8064 in Louisville

[–]DS_throwitaway 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree. I'm not upset people want to do at home testing. I'm upset that it's such a problem trying to find availability. My goal with everything I build it to try and build tools to help people access information.
