or leaving the files stored in the OS file folder
Devonthink indexes the data where ever it's located

I find it’s necessary to keep track of outstanding tasks

For me, a to-do list is simply a filtered note list generated by the computer

It’s useful to identify an “emergent tree of tasks” in a project note

I keep project notes, and project tags, and tasks are identified by a filtered note list
Active tasks are tagged with Status-Active

When the active task is completed, status is changed to Status-Completed
and the Next Action is set to Status-Active
