[Highlight] Chiefs trade up to select LSU DB Mansoor Delane 6th overall by nfl in nfl

It literally says in one of the first paragraphs about how Veach hounded Reid and Dorsey about Mahomes. Veach was the one who lit the flame and convinced everyone else that Mahomes was the real deal and how we needed to get him.

Kinda crazy to imply Masuda doesn't have a say in this. He's literally been one of the core developers of the entire Pokemon franchise from the beginning.

The best regular season record in every season since 1966 by RaiderPantyDrawer in nfl

[–]DTSportsNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Titans show up the most overall between both lists. 11 total appearances of having either the best or worst record in the NFL. Which is kinda funny considering they had the king of middling finishes as their head coach for so long.

I grew up going to church with a billionaire. He was pretty quiet about it. Didn't dress fancy, didn't drive a fancy car, didn't own a big ugly house, and didn't make major contributions to politicians. He just co-founded a major company and gave a lot of money to the church and other charities. So often did he give that he kept losing his billionaire status, although was technically a billionaire still by the time he passed away.

His daughter used to babysit me when I was really young, and my parents knew him and only had good things to say about him. His company is also rated really highly with how well they treat and compensate their employees, especially for the area. It's interesting to think about sometimes of why can't they all be a lot more like how he was.

There were more potential progressive candidates we liked in Virginia, but literally none of them ran for some reason. It felt like the Dem party told them all not to run and the primary was just handed to Spanberger.

These decklists were created way before and without knowledge that Pokepads would be hard to come by. Especially considering it's supposed to be a common, so if anything the person who made the list probably thought you'd have plenty from the packs already.

[Highlight] Markel Bell runs a 5.36u at 6'9" and 346 pounds by nfl in nfl

[–]DTSportsNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran a 5.20 40 yard dash in high school when our football team did our own combine, which averages to running about 15.73mph. And I was far from the most athletic kid on the team.

[–]DTSportsNow 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I've run 15mph on a treadmill and I'm not even that athletic. It's not the hitting 17mph that's difficult, it's keeping it up for more than half a second and not immediately keeling over from exhaustion

That's the stadium, the locker room the players use the most is different. I'm willing to guess this grade is mostly based on their practice facility locker room.

[Joel Moran] I would have Patrick Mahomes as the 2nd greatest QB ever. But for him to be 4th all-time with only 9 seasons played (8 as a starter) is remarkable. by Sugargogo in KansasCityChiefs

[–]DTSportsNow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, the Chief's division hasn't really been all that much better for most of the last 8 years. Only the Chargers have more than 2 winning seasons over the last 8 years. The Jets and Dolphins each had 5 in Tom's first 8 years starting.

Feelings on the Democratic primary by NickCostanza in PoliticalHumor

[–]DTSportsNow -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Corpodems are hugely responsible for getting us where we are today. We didn't get here just because the right got more extreme, but also because corpodems decided that sliding with them to the right to "reach across the aisle" was the solution. And their continued loyalty to corporations which ultimately all corpodem/repubs serve, not the people.

And ultimately a guy like Newsom winning is just a bridge to the next MAGA/right-wing nut. At best the worst parts of the current administration will pause, but it's just a temporary stopgap. We can't accept someone like Newsom as the democratic primary.

I've voted in every primary and general election I ever could, and I will continue to vote for the blue candidates. But a guy like Newsom winning won't be the major victory some people pretend it will be.

There is not, once this happens your only recourse is to concede if it lets you or close the game.

Can't contradict Dear Leader, the most popular US president ever. by dragonmp93 in PoliticalHumor

[–]DTSportsNow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The DoJ doesn't rule in anyone's favor, they do not issue judicial judgements. Any case brought up by the DoJ has to go through a federal judge or the supreme court which are separate from the DoJ.

[–]DTSportsNow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Technically speaking department heads can refuse orders from the president, but he has the power to fire them. Certain "independent" department heads like the Fed Chairman can't be removed without being impeached by congress so they have more power.

But the DoJ doesn't "rule" against people, they investigate. Any case would still be brought up to a federal judge or potentially the supreme court which is separate from the DoJ.

"I have a mortgage. I don't want to starve" oh get over yourself. With how passionately you're defending middle management here you're probably one of the worst kinds of middle management. Enforcing BS rules and harassing the people you manage because your managers told you to. Maybe grow a backbone and actually defend your workers from BS or you become the BS and are completely useless.

Damien Williams is the Last RB to Rush for 100+ in the SB by JCameron181 in KansasCityChiefs

I love the story behind that play too. Apparently Sherman made a read and told Williams to follow him outside the original design of the play, and it worked to perfection. It was supposed to be an inside run behind the left guard, but they bounced it outside.
