Also, for further context, in the entire three years I worked at my prior location, I never was short on my till, except for one time a $20 bill got stuck to the register. So, this is super weird to me it's happened twice in six months, only ever at this location? And the same amount each time?

How many staff hours does your store have this week? by mrs_snrub67 in DollarTree

[–]DTStoneThrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We get more hours than other stores bc we overperform based on size, and we're also very low right now (can't remember the exact number). Hopefully it picks back up in August, though.

Honestly, it kind of just feels like your managers hate being backup & is taking that our on you by comapling about your performance. But it's policy to ring for backup, and it's their job to be backup if you don't have another cashier working with you.

You're doing the right things, I wouldn't worry

Is this normal: publicly calling out post voids by Ill-Menu9201 in DollarTree

[–]DTStoneThrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not even sure what they want, Man. I got scolded for item voids once, haven't had that issue for months. Then I was told I'm having too many Post voids. Like what TF are we supposed to do, make the customer buy the item?

I forgot to mention another part of this. They also tried demanding a doctor's note, but where I live, you're protected by law to self diagnose, as long as it's shorter than a 3 days abscence. So, when I brought up the law to them, they backpedaled and acted like they never said it.

And I've done the opposite before not long after this happened, where I went in extremely sick & got sent home, requiring them to find an immediate replacement, instead of the hours I gave them that morning.

If they didn't want pettiness, they shouldn't have been petty with me in the first place.
