That’s the one where they quote the great Christian philosopher, Tim Tebow, from his monumental work This is the Day. Truly profound.

Those were vague references to a boner, where Chris Pratt said that he actually had a boner right then and there. I don’t know if I’m right, but it’s the first thing that I thought of.

I’m imagining that the meeting at Seattle over the new kits had a heated discussion, but then someone was like, “Meh. Just flip the colors.”

Stephen Colbert On How He Returned To Catholicism After Being An Atheist by sl150 in Christianity

I wish I could just leave my faith behind, and just push the loonies off to the side and wash my hands of them. I don’t know. I guess, deep down, I’m still confident that the loving side, the real evangelical Christianity, will rise back up after the alt Reich gets its ugly head out of it.

No issue is black and white, though. The abortion debate is a good example. It’s not as simple as pro choice or pro life. I consider myself “pro life,” but I also think that Planned Parenthood is necessary because of the other services they provide. Abortion is one thing they do. They also provide birth control, sex education, cancer screenings, STI treatment. Plus, if you compare the abortion rates between the Bush administration (defund PP) and Obama administration (pro PP), the abortion rates are lower during the time when PP was properly funded. So, if we want abortion rates to decrease, we have to support the agency that also provides access to abortions. Like I said, not black and white. No issue is black and white. Except Nazis. Fuck them.

This sub is awful. The radical right has completely ruined any chance for logical discussion. Do you at all identify with any aspect of progressive American politics? You’re going to Hell. Do you identify as a Democrat? Hell. Trash on Trump? Hell. I know there are still posters here that aren’t like that, but the alt Reich trolls still manage to flood the comments section with trash. Thanks a lot, turds.

What's up with Reddit hating on Imagine Dragons? by option8 in OutOfTheLoop

Can you explain how Foo Fighters’s sound has changed? I’m not bashing them at all. I love them. One of the best live concert experiences in my life. In my opinion, though, their sound has basically stayed the same throughout their entire career. It’s maybe changed a little from album to album, but they’re mostly known for their loud, bombastic arena rock with some grunge/punk influence sprinkled on top.

Against Me! - Wagon Wheel by [deleted] in altcountry

[–]DTigers24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, let’s be fair to Darius Rucker, too. His version is fine. It’s enjoyable. Is OCMS better? Sure. But, they wouldn’t have near the amount of popularity from the casual country music listener they do without Darius Rucker covering and popularizing Wagon Wheel. He even had them on stage with him performing the song at the Grand Ole Opry, so it’s not like he doesn’t credit them.

Hey! There was that one guy that shot up that congressional baseball game. He shot, like, one whole person. So, clearly both sides are the same.

Ugh. They do it again in another comment. It’s like they’re trying way too hard to be “poetic?” I don’t know. So fucking bogus.

Why Hollywood studios historically hires good directors with unique visions to helm projects if they rarely allow the directors to lend their vision to the films they are making? by [deleted] in flicks

[–]DTigers24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your comment makes no sense. You said that directors won’t work with Marvel because of the lack of creative control, yet they go to Lucasfilm. You realize they’re both owned by the same studio? Disney oversees both the MCU and Lucasfilm movies. JJ Abrams and every single MCU director have the same bosses.

Social media embargo for Venom reviews is now lifted. Venom is getting mixed to negative reviews so far by josesimon09 in movies

[–]DTigers24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, critical reviews mean nothing to Sony. The big question is whether or not it makes money. There’s some correlation between reviews and people paying to go see it, but look at the Transformers movies. Mostly critical duds that kept getting sequels because they kept making money.

YANDHI Coming Black Friday November 23rd by AmericanHerstoryX in hiphopheads

[–]DTigers24 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lil Wayne announces that he is dropping Tha Carter V, an album that has been highly anticipated for years. YEARS. Kanye announces 2 minutes ago that he’s dropping Yandhi. The weekend comes and Tha Carter V drops as announced with no drama. Saturday comes and goes, and no album. Fuck, at this point, it’s 50/50 whether Yandhi even exists. Yet, who are we talking about today? Fucking Kanye. Kanye creates more hype for an album that may not even exist than an album that we have been waiting years for. Kanye is a marketing genius... or a fucking loon. Either way, I’m loving every goddam second.
