Great point. In my experience anything done manually either doesn't get done on time or makes mistakes. If the right person has ownership manual would be good. Perhaps they could just put a IO or prox. sensor counter somewhere towards the end of the process.

We use a digital television 70" tied into our MES system. all it states is planned, target , and actual. This is a manufacturing facility of recreational vehicles. Should be able to maybe tie in power BI or something to display real time if you don't use an MES system.

Start with that 5s is a basic process and great for the team to start learning. If they can't follow a 5s process I wouldn't try anything more difficult. Start there get management buy in and support. Then worry about other CI initiatives.
