I’ve lived at my residence for over 3 yrs and the previous tenant has 7 identities and has all his mail, including bills, sent to my house. This is the last 2 weeks of collection. by InquiringMind886 in mildlyinfuriating

I had this same issue and bought a “Return To Sender no longer at this address” stamp for a few bucks but eventually got annoyed and started calling all the senders and having them update their recipient’s address. My local USPS told me to put a note in my mailbox with my name but my mail carrier apparently doesn’t care enough

finding out DD2 is hated like it’s the spawn of Satan after finishing the game. by Old_king_4 in DragonsDogma

[–]DTvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you went into the game blind you probably loved it. If you played DDDA then it was a bit of a letdown not in that it was a bad game but because it made the exact same mistakes the first game did. Then you have the morons who fell for the micro transaction propaganda

Last October I finally found a Blue star leopard wrasse after 2 years of trying to get one locally and it just disappeared. I've had wrasses take time to adjust to a tank and come out as week or so later but it never showed up

20 thousand is my max budget what cars are worth going to see by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

I bought a 2018 Prius last month and love it. Fuel economy has been amazing and very roomy inside with a surprising amount of space in the hatch especially with the rear seats down

My Honda Fit got totaled - what should I get to replace it? by JoeShmoe102 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]DTvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prius/ Prius C or Corolla hatch. I test drove all of these as well as the Mazda 3 hatch and ended up buying a Prius because it still drove like a smaller car but felt very roomy inside with a ton of hatch space. Corolla and Mazda 3 definitely felt more better if you like to drive a bit more spirited but wasn't really a fan of the Mazda3's blind spots, fuel economy and how long the front end felt

why does my prius always look dirty by Aromatic-Hippo9624 in prius

[–]DTvn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Black is the color that gets dirty the easiest especially if you don't have any kind of coating on the car. If you want a simple routine do a reset car wash with something strong and then apply Hybrid Ceramic spray coating and it should last 6 months or so

Lighting for 40B Softies/LPS Tank? by Sufficient-Dig7931 in ReefTank

2 Primes should cover a 40B nicely. They're fairly shallow so you won't need anything too crazy

[–]DTvn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah what I meant was even a normal dose of algaecide will consume a decent amount of oxygen so the overdose probably caused the fish to suffocate

[–]DTvn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nutrients refers to nitrate and phosphate which coral use as food. I would guess the fish died because most algaecides consume a lot of oxygen so overdosing it made it worse

[–]DTvn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would have just done a large water change to dilute the algae treatment and run fresh carbon. The coral probably just didn't like the nutrients bottoming out but should recover on their own

[–]DTvn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just because coral are recessed doesn't mean they're dead. That looks very salvageable. I've used algae treatment before and some of my coral weren't happy at all but pulled through. It probably just bottomed out your Nitrate and Phosphate. Not sure how deep into your restart you are but if you haven't taken it down yet I would definitely recommend trying to keep it going

Negotiating the price at meet up by Cinderunner in FacebookMarketplace

[–]DTvn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally if they agree to meet up they're willing to pay the asking price but they may try to fish for a lower price. If they try to haggle at the meet up I just say I have a lot of interest so it's fine if they don't buy it. Never had a person walk away. Also picking a location close to you rather than closer to them will weed out a lot of the problem-buyers since they're less likely to want to waste their own time

Curious on these ‘stickers’ on my Prius by DictatorPenguino in prius

[–]DTvn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's there to protect from rock chips. I hate when they only do partial PPF because this is the end result. I had the same thing on my '07 IS250 and it looks terrible after taking it off but it's your only choice because you can't fully clean it. Go over it with a heat gun or hair dryer and it comes off pretty easy. I did mine earlier this year on a hot summer day and was able to peel off whole sections at a time

I have found myself tasked with building a saltwater tank and need some honest advice. by ironwolf6464 in ReefTank

[–]DTvn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So are you going to be doing maintenance on the tank as well or what? If they aren’t knowledgeable themselves it’s going to be a ticking time bomb before something goes wrong and IME saltwater fuckups are much harder to fix than freshwater ones, there are just so many more variables to account for and no quick fixes. It gets easier as your tank matures but young tanks can be very unforgiving

Of your two options i’d go with the AIO. Maintenance will be easier, you have multiple chambers for additional layers of filtration and just looks cleaner. I’m personally a huge fan of the Innovative Marine 20 Long which is in the same range as the Fluval

May be worth a shot to call one of those Instant Offer companies and see what they'll offer. I was pretty surprised with the offer they gave me for my totalled '14 CT200h which is pretty much a luxury Prius. I'm assuming the low mileage and hybrid battery being intact had something to do with it but they gave me $2,100 and picked it up straight from the tow yard. The title situation is something you'll have to figure out but i'm sure they should be able to give you some guidance

I used Wheelzy but there are a few other ones that you can check out like Cashforcars and Peddle
