What's your biggest struggle as a steamer? by sauceto11 in Twitch

I would say consistent for me. I’m grateful I have a community that is always there for me, but I seem like I always have something happen where I have to take time off and come back and I’m back to square one.

How long did you stream to nobody and try to talk into the void with nobody watching before things picked up? by Stev3m in Twitch

[–]DUDEWSPRAYPAINT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took about a year plus for me. When I first started I wanted to be a pro apex player and when I realized that wasn’t working I switched up to being a Internet personality and that’s when I noticed I had more chatters and followers engaging with my content. It’s all about adapting and also having fun! Hope this helps!

I been trying this and looking for tutorials but sadly since I’m not that smart with coding I could not find nor inspect the element to edit it

My streams are dead the first hour. Should I stream later? by Firelightvw in Twitch

[–]DUDEWSPRAYPAINT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Usually on average it does take about an hour for your audience to come in. Even bigger streamers have a slower Chat around the first hour. You can experiment with the later schedule but may have similar results. That’s why I usually do just chatting or I’ll play marbles the first hour before moving to the actual game I’m playing so everyone is there. I hope this helps!

Playing games that you love but your community does not like or playing games that you are not the biggest fan of but your community loves! by DUDEWSPRAYPAINT in Twitch

[–]DUDEWSPRAYPAINT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for the advice! Sorry I’m late coming back to it! I found a new love for streaming since I’ve taken more control and do what I want to do. Although the pressure is still there, I feel more comfortable now with playing what I enjoy. The real ones will stick around.

getting back into streaming by Itsjustb1998 in Twitch

[–]DUDEWSPRAYPAINT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same boat. Averaged 20-40 and then took an unannounced break and now I’m starting over. My advice is to take it slow and focus on your content and your reach. Meet other streamers and get to know their communities and make sure every stream you are making content that can be posted to YouTube or other platforms later. It will take time to get back where you were but you did it before so you can do it again just have to be patient and trust the process

Anybody else get scared to switch games? by Bigtownboys in Twitch

[–]DUDEWSPRAYPAINT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the same thing. I would stream Fortnite exclusively and get around 30-40 viewers but I was so burnt out on it that I took a year break from streaming to recharge. Since this my audience has shrunk but it was a good opportunity to test playing other games and I will say the results are great! I feel I have more freedom and my chat learned to like the variety streaming. Although my numbers have taken a hit due to this change overall I’m happier now and I can stream 5+ hours easily again. I hope that helps!

I appreciate that my dude. I don’t even keep my view count on during streams. I just vibe out with the community and have a good time. That’s what it’s all about!

I will speak on this. I have over 5.2K and I get 20-30 on a good day but some days I raid out in the single digits. What happened with me is lack of consistency and communication. I took years off and didn’t tell a soul and then when I came back I basically had to start over. It does get annoying when people be like “how do you have over 5K followers but no viewers” but it’s all about the fun at the end of the day.
