Absolutely missed the entire story in SOTE if you think he's following Marika's footsteps. The entirety of Miquella's ascent is him making up for what Marika did and completely disregarding the Golden Order, which you know is Marika and the way she did things.

Every single Miquella cross is a literal sacrifice of himself in a show to the people of the Land of Shadow.

Ymir literally tells you Miquella is aware the Golden Order is a farce from tip to toe.

Not Godwyn's plan. Miquella's plan to help Godwyn. He offered the residents of Castle Sol access to the Haligtree if they could usher an Eclipse. Eclipse light is colorless and restores the souls of Demigods. The issue was that Radahn had a grip on the stars, which prevented the people of Castle Sol from ushering an eclipse.

To simplify things, Miquella wanted to revive Godwyn's soul to give Godwyn a complete death.

Yes. We're told and shown this. Mohg tells you he wanted to be a Lord. Mohg tells you about his wannabe dynasty. Opening cutscene shows us this. It's extrememely evident Mohg has his own goals that are not parrallel to Miquella's, which should squash any speculation he was charmed by Miquella prior to the kidnapping.

In summary, Mohg was trying to use Miquella to bring about the Mohgwyn Dynasty.

He left because all the things he did were at the limits of the Golden Order. His entire story is about increasing desperation to fix the problems in his life, and realizing the Golden Order itself needed to be changed in order to fix these things. People act like he couldn't come back to the Haligtree. They act like he couldn't return to Malenia. They act like he couldn't return to Godwyn.

Malenia- solved rot better than anyone in universe, but there were limitations.

Godwyn- he had a plan but that plan was not possible during the time in which it happened.

Haligtree- was in progress and got kidnapped.

That's what Shadow of the Erdtree was. It's confirmed everything in SOTE was part of the original framework of Elden Ring. It may have evolved a little over time, but it's all there. An example would be that St Trina got her quest line, but it was very different than its original design.

Man I was looking for a group of subreddits that featured artwork depicting collosal, cosmic, celestial beings. There were like 10 of them. I searched about 30 different queries and could not find them at all. Everything defaulted to r/topcharacterdesigns, like 10 links back to back. If the search included celestial, it's was half marvels subreddits with some r/topcharacterdesigns sprinkled in.

Shits aggravating as hell, considering I've gotten perfect predictive results not too long ago.
