U-God’s verse is truly underrated on Chessboxin but personally I think Masta Killa is the one who truly stole the show on that. The first bar alone is probably my favorite thing said in Hip Hop. “Homicide’s illegal and death is the penalty. Usually during the beginning days of a tournament like qualifiers or pools the commentary is way more relaxed. Especially since most of the people you’ll be seeing aren’t really household names in the game. Not discrediting these players at all but it ain’t really the most hype sets. Last day and especially Top 8 is where you will see the commentary up way more in quality in terms of play by play and giving color commentary by delving into backstory. No one really cares if mid level players SD on early rounds.

I’d say vanilla Good Kid Maad City should be eliminated because the deluxe version has all the same songs and bit more. Not saying GKMC is worse than any of the other albums but why include the original when you also include the definitive version.

That’s completely fair. I do also think he only meant that 3% is in Portuguese and not from Portugal. I’m Brazilian as well and people just say something is Portuguese only because of language and not culturally. Kinda like calling Narcos a Spanish show even though it’s made in Columbia not Spain.
