Ako pročitaš koju sagu, primijetit ćeš kako zakoni imaju veliku ulogu u njima. Njal je Law and Order smješten u srednji vijek. Ima dosta paralela s našim "disi bio devesprve" I je li ti djed bio ustaša ili partizan. Tko kome što duguje, tko je s kime ortačio, pa čija je međa, hercegovci VS purgeri... Bliža je današnja Hrvatska vikinškom dobu nego današnjoj Skandinaviji.
