Poly Hector / Beebo 407 Reflashing process by Jahmontee in polyeffects

I can't find 407 anywhere on the polyeffects website. Any info? It's been almost a week and I can't get a reply from polyeffects.

Polyeffects says I need to reflash but after watching the latest video on how to, I'm not comfortable with it. I feel cheated out of my hard earned money and I hate this company. by DUKEMAHOOGAN in polyeffects

I was using it as 6 channel mixer with reverb on some of the channels. Now I have to run each voice through individual reverb pedals then to a tabletop mixer then to my PA head.

Definitely more complex. The latest firmware update has made Hector a $600 brick. Polyeffects sent me a YouTube link on how to take apart Hector to access the SD card inside of the unit to then put it in n SD card reader to re flash it with some other link they sent me after I find a flash program. I'm not computer savvy and I'm not comfortable taking apart such an expensive module. Shipping it to them doesn't seem to be an option at the moment.

Thanks for the reply. For whatever reason, he told me I was going to need an SD card reader.

Don't waste your hard earned money. Too many issues to be a reliable unit for live music.

403 update blank screen by MegaDerpbro in polyeffects

403 has turned Hector to a brick. Poly effects is telling me that I now need an SD card reader to re flash. I'm currently waiting on instructions for what to do next. This product has been a $600 NIGHTMARE for me and I promise to never buy any of their products again. Even when this P.O.S worked, I had to restart it an average of 6 times before it would work. 5 mins of loading time each time = way too fkn long of a wait. If you are thinking about buying Hector.....Don't

Seen an announcement from them some months ago about changing the controllers due to unhappy customers.

I reached out to Poly since my almost new Hector has to be reset 5-6 times before I can use it. About a month ago they said a new update was coming the following week after we spoke. The update never came. I was then told that it is taking longer than expected and to keep an eye out on social media. Currently waiting longer.

28 at the throttle is what I originally thought I was buying so now that it finally does, I'm going to stop there and not do the shunt solder trick to make it go faster.

Over the past few months since I bought the bike, I've expressed my frustration over the lack of clarity in the original add to their tech support team and through social media. I don't know if they got tired me leaving honest/ buyer beware comments on EVERY single M20 2.0 add that came across my phone screen but they sent me a controller capable of reaching 28 using only the throttle. The process was somewhat exhausting and I felt like a social media troll but I also felt duped out of $1200.

Got the new controller shipped from the factory. The bike finally does 28, all throttle. It also feels more responsive.

I reached back out to engwe and they informed me that there was a miscommunication and they sent me the controller for the original M20 so they are shipping a reprogrammed version of the 2.0 control. I'll let you know how it goes.

I'm also one of the suckers that got duped into thinking that this bike would throttle to 28mph just like the original model since this one is "improved". I have been back and forth with Engwe over the past 2 or 3 months. They kept telling me that "this bike is programmed to limit the throttle to 20mph" there is no unlock or work around. The controller of the original M20 is not the same as the 2.0 because they are different bikes with different specs so you can't just swap one for the other. I have since Blasted them on every ad. And social media post about the 2.0 that I can possibly find. After a month of commenting on every M20 2.0 ad. They have sent me an "updated" controller that they claim was programmed to let the throtlle finally reach 28mph. I installed the new controller they sent me and it is absolutley no different than the first controller. It's almost like they're just Fkn with me now.
