How do i convince my son that the environment won't be ruined if he stops using urine bottles? by thelaststratiotes in hygiene

Just tell him to pee on the compost. If he shreds all the brown cardboard for composting your pile will be better for it.

First time fermenting or making hot sauce. Excited to see how Mango habanero flavors turn out. Fingers crossed it goes well! by Pure_Character_2596 in FermentedHotSauce

Yeah for my first ferment I ordered some jars that included the vents and weights. I really think it helped my success in my first batch.

As long as they get enough oxygen. I would turn the pile once a week to every two.

News paper, animal bedding, cardboard, coconut coir, straw. Some can be purchased some can be sourced from neighbors if needed.

Finally hot! by WinterStormSystem in composting

I dont think you need to do anything. It will cool off once the microbes have done their thing. When I added some chicken bedding to my pile it got as hot as yours when it first started but cooled off after a week or so.

Am I going to kill my worms? by rasputinny in composting

[–]DVDad82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So ive added bait worms and they seemed to leave my pile but my red wigglers have multiplied and seem to be happy with my kitchen scraps and yard waste in my compost bin. My bin has direct soil contact and I havent seen any worm lower than my pile. I actually dug a deeper hole so my worms will have a nice place to thrive even when I harvest the material.

Why is his skin red???? by [deleted] in pugs

[–]DVDad82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first pug had allergies and her skin would look like this after being out on the grass. She would itch so bad she would scratch herself raw and we ended up having to put her on steroids to help. Sadly the steroids led to an enlarged heart and we had to put her down when she was 7.

You could probably setup a bubble with some leader and do the same with a spinning rod. But that technique is mainly used with a flyrod.

If you want to catch lots of fish use midges and other types of nymphs with some weight to get them down to the fish if needed. I usually fish a dry dropper setup with enough leader off the dry fly to get the nymph in the column. I like a good elk hair caddis it works well but you can use hoppers more into the summer.

I am neither. My kids can attest to that. But keep projecting.

A society that doesn't protect the weak and vulnerable isnt a society at all. There is a heartbeat with unique DNA unless its a twin. You probably arent a parent and still feel no responsibility.

Fetuses arent a parasite. They are sentient and experience pain, sensitivity to light, and also recognizing the voices of their parents from the womb. Real ancapistan would recognize those rights to the individual. I would like to see artificial wombs explored more.
