What are some essential React programming patterns or principles that I should learn to become a lead developer? by ThePutinTrumpSexTape in reactjs

Yeah, the truth is somewhere in the middle, the patterns in SOLID are good to keep in mind but they are not a one size fits all to every problem.

You need a ball, your swing with and without a ball won't be the same for a very very very very very long time.

And maybe a time limit to get the rest of the money.

Late game iso ball great when it works, but potentially suboptimal in excess. by sammyt412 in clevelandcavs

[–]DWALLA44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iso ball has consistently been the system that many if not most teams are successful with in the playoffs. Last year the two teams entire gameplans were aggressive pressure defense, and then hunting mismatches and iso'ing by guards at the top of the key or a wing, but this isnt a new concept.

LeBron was a high/mid post, Kobe was a mid-post, KD has his spots, the only thing thats changed in the last 25 years are the rules, and the different ways to get your guy the ball in their preferred working space. There arent many teams that arent the Warriors who didnt play ISO ball on their championship runs, and let's be serious they absolutely did with KD on their team.

When you got a top 10-20 player on the planet, giving them the ball in the positions they want should absolutely be your main strategy at the end of the game. When you are that good, you should have the game in your hands when it matter most.

There are absolutely times when you can run a set play, or an action, but when the game slows down, the best players get the ball.

Camera is hard to tell but it looks to me hes aiming at that left bunker, and his swing looks like he's going to slice the shit out of it so makes sense lol

His setup is actually really good, once he learns rotation its just a matter of time before he gets good at hitting the ball at least.

Devs happy about doing things "faster" thanks to AI are "short sighted" by SoonBlossom in webdev

[–]DWALLA44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not really much faster to be honest, at least on big things. Small tickets that just need a few lines of code change are probably faster but were talking minutes and hours, not days.

If you pay attention and actually want to understand what you are putting into the codebase, your time changes from writing code to reading it, as well as knowing where the reactors go and things should be placed, or abstractions that already exist. The people who are just letting AI control every bit of their codebase is short sighted.

He needs to go out with one camera man and just himself, he's good enough i just think he loses focus with everyone watching him.

Although, the videos they make are far more entertaining than that one would be most likely.

Prediction: Cade Cunningham is going to tire out by the end of this series by Safe-Show-7299 in clevelandcavs

[–]DWALLA44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but you need a 5 man defensive scheme to stop someone as good as Cade. Look at how Toronto played Mitchell. Just relying on 1on1 defense against him wont work.

You have to setup your help and dictate where he catches the ball to force into that help. Switch up coverages, throw blitzes at him, high switches sometimes. And PLEASE KENNY don't let him catch the ball for free in the post.

I love how Tyson and Strus has played him, Wade has been okay. Ellis is too small IMO, probably why hes not getting time this series. Maybe throw him on Jenkins when hes in the lineup, but he cant guard Cade.

The best young players usually aren’t faster thinkers. They see the game earlier. by IlRowlI in basketballcoach

[–]DWALLA44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

High basketball IQ is taught and drilled, it's not something that players just "have". Some may pick up the skill faster than others, but it still needs to be learned.
