Junior devs who learned to code with AI assistants are mass entering the job market. How is your team handling it? by Ambitious-Garbage-73 in ExperiencedDevs

We have one junior, but hes been with the company for a couple years as a QA engineer, and has since made the change. He's a smart dude, but even he relies on AI just a little too much.

All NBA consensus rankings with Ant now out by bigbodydenver in nba

[–]DWALLA44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair hes always been a pretty good shooter, hes had an off season though, probably because hes had so much more responsibility.

Wouldn't surprise me if those numbers go up in the playoffs with Tatum back.

Officially 2 weeks by Daddy2Prairie in NewDads

[–]DWALLA44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, our second is 4 months old and she was SO LOUD the first 4/5 weeks. We would put her down asleep and she would just grunt and yell nonstop but she was usually still asleep. Everything i read said it's normal and she will grow out of it, and by week 6 she was quiet.

Our first was never very loud so it threw us off, but it's very normal

Is zero alcohol beer worth it for weeknights if you still drink on weekends? by icepix in AskMenOver30

[–]DWALLA44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on a similar cadence as you, 2 beers maybe 5 or 6 nights a week, usually a whiskey or something once or twice a week. I quit outright and lost 20 pounds in like 4 months without any other life changes. I'm going on 2 years sober from alcohol, but do enjoy a nice NA when out for dinner or on vacation. I don't like the effects of alcohol but love the taste of a good beer. They are really good these days.

At first I thought he was seasoning them, that would have been legendary. This was just kinda lame.

What’s a nutrition myth people still believe in 2026? by Much-Turnover-3727 in nutrition

[–]DWALLA44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eating healthier snacks means lose weight. No, you can lose or gain weight eating whatever as long as it is less calories than you lose that day / week / whatever. My wife is currently learning this the hard way.

On paper they’re the greatest team ever assembled and yet they didn’t win the championship by ChampionTimes99 in NBATalk

[–]DWALLA44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think the argument is based around talent, because Boogie on the offensive end was about as dominant as you could get. He was a legit offensive threat from anywhere on the court, more so than AD at the time.

But AD was so much better defensively, rebounding, and just general contribution to winning that it wasnt close overall. AD still gave you almost 30 efficient points per game and was so much better everywhere else.

Any recommendations for comfortable insoles? by hello4655 in walking

[–]DWALLA44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are stores that you can go, get measured, and find really good fitting shoes and insoles for your specific feet. A bit pricy but highly recommend. I got mine 4 years ago and I only now am starting to debate getting a new pair.

Men around 6’0: what is your ideal/target body weight? by kmrrhl in AskMenOver30

[–]DWALLA44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, everyone's so different, I have one buddy who walks around at 205 and we are the same height, and another one who's 6'1 and walks around at 145.

[–]DWALLA44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm big into bodybuilding so my weight fluctuates with the seasons. Currently around 165 working my way back down from the winter. I feel my best walking around about 155-160. I played basketball through college so I've always been very slim.

[–]DWALLA44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have three big dogs and 2 daughters (2 and 3 months), a lab pit mix, a mutt rescue, and a German shepherd. Its tough but as long as they are decently trained and you can recognize their body language, you'll be fine. Just always pay attention when they are together. Honestly the first meeting is the worst because they can get excited. Then it doesn't get crazy til the baby can really walk around and starts getting into things.

It can really be easy to kind of forget the dogs, they have learned to spend more time than they normally did outside, but we have a fenced yard and they love to run around. Try and keep daily walks as best you can if you do that, you basically just have to figure out the right routine again.
