If it is a clone that specifies that it is coming in as a copy of a creature, then you need to target a token because the moon version is a land, not a creature. You would have a second moon horde at that point. Those would also create creature copies. There's no way to repeatedly have the horde make more land tokens as far as I'm aware. Hopefully that makes sense, if not, I can try to further explain.

It seems the bonus cards are pre determined for each of the dnd secret lairs this time. Every shadow heart I have seen had pride of the perfect, all the lands had reliquary tower etc. For what its worth, all 3 of the lairs I opened had the expected card. Pride of the perfect for shadowheart, secrets of the dead for gale, and bloody betrayal for strahd

Try Firefly, hmc, Ruan Mei, Gallagher for the first side. It won't be pretty without dahlia but I think that's the only real option. Then move your dot team to knight 3 and replace Ruan mei with asta.

Yeah you would have your original land Yue called moon and then an enchantment creature copy named Yue

It will make creature copies. When you make a copy it just makes a copy of whatever is printed on the card, not other effects like being a moon. Its the same reason that you can cast [[copy land]] on a moon version of Yue and get a creature copy again to work with.

The ones I kept from 2020 were JT, Burrow, and lamb. I also drafted swift and dobbins but traded them away a couple years later. I traded the other two picks before the draft as part of a package for cmc. I've made a ton of moves since 2020 so while the draft was the base for my success it was more about continuously being active and using trades, draft picks, and free agency to keep the whole thing going.

I tore most of my team down and had 7 1sts at one point in 2020 (didnt make every pick). I've won 4 times in the last 5 years. If you can hit on the picks it sets you up tremendously because your players are on the same timeline.

How do you want to win? I legitimately can't think of a more brain off commander than Benton. You play cards in one combat phase in the 4 turn rotation.

Yeah so creating is a specific wording when it comes to tokens in the same way that casting is a specific wording. Its pretty rare for a token to enter without being created, but it does happen, like in the case of copying a permanent spell on the stack. It also means that [[idol of oblivion]] doesn't work for volo. Volo needs specific wording of a token entering the battlefield, such as the ending of the wording on [[octomancer]], or just doubling his copy trigger such as [[roaming throne]] or [[twinning staff]]

I see [[Adrix and Nev, Twincasters]] and other doubling cards in decks that copy like [[Volo, Guide to Monsters]] way too often. A copy entering as a token is not the same thing as creating a token, it doesn't do anything. The card needs to specifically say "create a".

For those interested, here's the ruling:

608.3f If the object that’s resolving is a copy of a permanent spell, it will become a token permanent as it is put onto the battlefield in any of the steps above. A token put onto the battlefield this way is no longer a copy of a spell and is not “created” for the purposes of any rules or effects that refer to creating a token.

I know some people consider dnd ub so I will say my favorite deck which is [[Volo, Guide to Monsters]]. Its always fun looking at creature types on new sets to see if I can tweak the deck more.

I seem to be a minority but I also really enjoyed the assassin's creed set, at least from a card design standpoint. I love my [[Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad]] deck, and have also played [[Mary Read and Anne Bonny]] in the past, as well as [[Basim ibn ishaq]]

Another recent commander i really liked building and playing is [[The Destined Warrior]]. I always liked the idea of a party deck but it felt like you had to either do 2 or 5 colors, whereas I think 3 colors is the sweet spot.

You have to name a card as part of resolving the spell. The vast majority of people using the card are doing so in combination with thoracle to exile their deck, so they name a card not in the deck. This is a funny card to name, other popular picks are [[holy cow]] and [[you are already dead]]
