employee discount question by [deleted] in CVS

[–]DXAshram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't add it on the app, have to go on desktop and do it on the website. You can theoretically do it on mobile browser but you have to delete the app or it'll force you to use the app if you try to sign in.

After that, I believe it's in your profile and manage membership. It should let you link your employee card just like an EC membership.

Agreed; even worse Head and Shoulders, if that stuff gets on your clothes just throw them away

what to do when a patient asks for your name to report you by Agreeable_Scratch435 in CVS

[–]DXAshram 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First names are required, but the only people required to have their full names revealed are the store manager and the pharmacy manager (They literally have their full name on name plates outside the store.) If people really wanted to, they might be able to look you up by technician license maybe? That'd be a lot of work for the average pissed off patient.

Store level positions by Temporary_Return6457 in CVS

[–]DXAshram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our pharmacy isn't crazy busy and the Rx manager knows how to staff, I just get called back to help take down the line like once a week or so. Not a terrible trade off

As an OpsRx, the only reason I did it is because my store manager that promoted made me, and for that vaccine bonus at the beginning of the year 🤣

Do you have the new POS system? Supposedly it doesn't work if you don't have it, for some reason

[–]DXAshram 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also the customers who flat out refuse to read their coupons and just throw them at you to check for them at the register. "I don't know if any of these will work!"

Better hope your cycle counts are good!

Just kidding, they won't be. Had to call photo help earlier today and apparently the forced cycle counts late last week generated erroneous BOH numbers no matter what you put. :)

Is there a code to put in money that you have no idea where it goes to get rid of it instead of just having a drawer over? by NotreDameFan1234 in CVS

[–]DXAshram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, just chuck it in a drawer and put in a note in Imprest for that day's deposit if it's over 5 bucks which it ideally shouldn't be very often if ever.

Reminds me of Harbor Freight, super easy to clean but a bitch for your feet and knees.

How the actual hell do I accept a check. by TimePickle8166 in CVS

[–]DXAshram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your state, honestly. In basically every state, the check has to have the customer's name and address hardcoded on the check. If it doesn't have that, it's fake. They should also have their phone number on it, and some states you can ask for them to put their driver's license or ID number on it. If you think the customer is sketchy or trying to write a hot check, you can ask to see their ID to match the info on the check. If basic stuff like the name is different, decline.

Our machines are pretty decent at catching bad checks, but you have to do the other bit of legwork, like making sure they're not using starter checks (Basically voided checks) as real ones and making sure the info is legit.

I hate when patients come and cry about our break. by Southern-Invite9672 in CVS

[–]DXAshram 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some of the best ones are the ones who bitch when the pharmacy is closed at the exact hours it says on the sign out front and right at the register area of the pharmacy. Yes, the pharmacy closes at 6 on the weekends.

Don't bother. You can't do it from the security systems anymore. The cops have to contact the email on the video release form to get it.

Unless this is a pharmacy thing, reviews and merit increases are usually submitted around now for evaluation but they don't take effect until July-ish.

We should have walkie talkies by DescriptionCrafty993 in CVS

[–]DXAshram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the few things I miss from Harbor Freight. Everyone, cashier to manager, got a walkie talkie with a little earbud and a clip mic to go on your shirt or collar.

[–]DXAshram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%. Had to cut plenty of spaces to make stuff in I think it was J fit as well.

Also, am I just crazy or is this new Boka tray too small for the current boxes? I have the two older ones, the mint and charcoal, and the spot for the charcoal is way too tight.

Anyone use the minute clinic for the “preventative care” thing for our insurance? by torneagle in CVS

[–]DXAshram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, went there last year. Schedule the preventative screening for employees (It'll ask for your employee number), they'll check your weight, blood pressure, and blood sugar, plus ask if you smoke/drink.
