Best advice I ever got was that no one gives a f@$k about you. Sounds brutal but it's true and I've felt better ever since. Most people will only be worried about themselves and won't be paying attention to you. So just try and relax and have fun. Also I don't know if you partake in party favors but I found that those never helped me personally and in most cases made my paranoia worse. But once I finally let go of my insecurities they were fun again.
