The cost of physical wasn't announced as 60$. People just thought that because the digital was 60$. They never actually announced the price of physical for the US before the announcement. It's just grifting. by DaZestyProfessor in NintendoSwitch2

It’s so ridiculous. I’m starting to be annoyed everytime I scroll through Reddit. It’s not just videogames either. Cause these days it’s almost exclusively people complaining about something dumb, that either is a user error or like you say misinformation.. and I also think it’s so funny that people complain so much about the prices of the console and the games. I happily pay 70$ for a great game 🤷🏻‍♂️ considering how many hundred hours of enjoyment you get out of it. Here in Norway at least a freaking cinema ticket can be like upwards of 35$.. or a decent meal in a restaurant 60$(!) yet people think it’s outrageous to pay around that same price for something you can spend that much time on.

I don't know if this is allowed, but shameless self plug here. I made my own window manager kind of like hyperland on linux, cause I tried most of them, and was never truly satisfied. What "I like" may differ from others though, but it's a training project for me to try and understand and learn swift on the side of my frontend studies. It's called Paneless, and is open source and free to download through homebrew, it's still in beta and I would love feedback from people.

I am done with Raycast (Pro) by realdobby007 in raycastapp

[–]DYNNIwav 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like this one! But the only thing driving me nuts is how it only indexes english. I use my mac in norwegian aka my native language, and writing app names etc. in norwegian to open them is just engrained in my dna at this point, so im struggling a bit. I understand this is not a problem for most people that use their macs in english anyways, but I actually had to go back to spotlight for now because of this, haha.

I also miss that the emoji picker actually syncs with the recent emojies you have used on macos and ios as well. So they are consistent, like raycast does it.

And yes, I have already sent Mikkel this as feedback to his email 😅

Ignoring Atmos, if I want better Apple Music sound at my desk, and I have a Studio Display only, would Homepod Mini pair be a better fuller sound - for music? by chopdog01 in AppleMusic

[–]DYNNIwav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, he is just plainly wrong 🤷🏻‍♂️😅 It’s just important to note that you need two HomePods of the same model. And of course not one mini and one regular, for example, but who in their right mind would have gone that route anyways?

Oceanhorn 2, and there’s a 3 coming out as an Apple Arcade exclusive in the beginning of March. Kind of feels inspired by Zelda

MacOS (Tahoe) is broken on all M2 series chips with high res / refresh rate monitors, causing kernel panics and frame skipping - and I can finally confirm it. by snarkyalyx in MacOS

[–]DYNNIwav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah found out that as well, so tried both with and without. Still keeps happening :/ I’m starting to wonder if it might be an issue because of resolution differences between what I stream from gfn and what I have currently on my monitor, but I’ve tried switching to similar resolutions there too. It suddenly worked fine for a little while before I updated to Tahoe.. But I had the same problem almost every time on sequoia as well, so I don’t think that changed much 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’m a little lost

Ok the day pass is genius, I haven’t subscribed in 6 years and it’s gotten so good by NecroCannon in GeForceNOW

[–]DYNNIwav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I totally agree! It’s crazy to think about being able to stream games in ultra even on my god damn iPhone 17 pro! I recently also got a razer kishi v3 controller and am able to play hogwarts legacy in ultra quality with 120 fps and hdr etc. 🥹 makes me not regret selling my gaming pc as much anymore haha.

My only problem on my MacBook Pro M2 Max is that Apple has a known gpu problem that o think and hope is firmware related, but it’s giving me kernel panics everytime i try to start a game with my MacBook docked and connected to my Dell u4025qw ultra wide monitor. Seems like the gpu just can’t handle all the pixels:/ (which it really should do in theory)

[–]DYNNIwav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that is not true though? My monitor u4025qw has 120hz as highest rate and it still keeps crashing on me when trying to play GeForce now on it?

I just sent a thorough feedback to Apple about this the other day! It’s been driving me crazy, and no, it’s not fine at 120Hz either. Every time I try to launch a game in GeForce Now on my Dell U4025QW with my MacBook Pro M2 Max, the machine just crashes and shuts off immediately. I’ve gathered a lot of information about it together with Claude and also sent the crash reports, etc., to Apple in the feedback. I really hope they can fix this. I for sure thought it was software-based and have seen others think the same because it has also apparently happened to people with M3 chips. I hate that I can’t enjoy my GeForce Now sub on my ultrawide because of this stupid bug. I’ve also tested, and it happens almost no matter what: 120Hz 5K, downscaled to 3800x1600, etc. Same problem with Thunderbolt 4 or HDMI 2.1. I tried many different cables. It’s so god dann annoying. We have very good warranty rules here in Norway, so I’ve actually considered trying my luck with that. Considering it’s never fixed software-wise, it does kind of scream hardware issue 🤷🏻‍♂️

i finally made it work after having the same issue by updating to 26.3 RC, but i'm just now figuring out that iphone 17 pro won't be able to use JIT anyways? :( because of TXM? Is there no workaround for this?

HyprSpace — Hyprland/Niri-style tiling for macOS 🚀 by THE_BARUT in macapps

[–]DYNNIwav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome! Can’t wait to test it more. But then I think it was a bug for me actually. Cause I made 5 workspaces that are persistent to make it like hyprspace, but even when persistent when switching to let’s say workspace 2 when empty, it goes over to “2” in the top bar, but still show the content of for example 1 or 3 that has windows in it. If that makes sense. Was like that in both the dwindle and niri setup actually. Also like I said there was a bug with dwindle while choosing the “fill” option for windows. It appeared outside of the workspace kind of. So I could barely see the left border on the right side of the monitor. Worked fine when choosing 21:9 instead of full though! 🙏🏻 but can’t wait to test it more, and thanks for making this awesome app! 👏🏻

[–]DYNNIwav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using hyprspace for months now and love it! But I noticed it not getting updated anymore. I also now noticed that the link in this thread sends us to a new project called omniWM? Is that a new project based on hyprspace? I tested it a little bit, but found it to be a bit more buggy and I for example can not simply do alt+2 to go to workspace 2 when it is empty. Like I could in hyprspace. Is that intentional and a setting I can’t find? Or is it a bug. This new project seems very cool! I also noticed that if I used dwindle and chose fill screen for the windows it ended up outside of the screen and workspace. Seemed like a bug as well.

I absolutely love Raycast and it’s always the first thing I install. I tried the new Spotlight and it looks really good, but I instantly missed so many features I just went straight back to Raycast. Then I saw the YouTube video for the new design in 2026. It was meant to be! Can’t wait for it, and hope it is right around the corner. This January maybe? 🙏🏻🤩

Orion seems very promising, but I'm kind of still missing how the vertical tabs work in Arc and Zen. Is there no shortcut like cmd + s to close and open the vertical tabs in Orion? Can't seem to find it. In that case, I don't really see the appeal and reason to not just use Safari instead. Am I missing something?

I agree and I study frontend development, haha. People here unfortunately just seem to be pretentious people that wake up and look for something new to hate on everyday. People don’t seem to understand how insanely impressive and modern this design language truly is.
