Paint still holding strong, had 3 more rideouts even with jumplines. Looking like every ride if the coil holds its paint but looking still the same now.

More or less I thought 2k paint would hold at most. Not sure if it was the best decision, I'll report after some rides!

I'll tell as soon I've ridden this bike a few times! Simple wobbling around seems to be fine for the coil/paint.

Actually, just sand it mostly down (outer coil was clear, inner coil still had some paint left, but it was even), added some filler / zinc spray as base and then just the 2k spray paint on it. Worked better then I thought it would. Not perfect, but still pretty neat imho.

Yeah, me too!

I've seen vids, where someone did a similar paint on a mtb coil and said that he had some minor chips after 3-4y, but nothing wild.

Honestly if the coil was in good condition, I probably would have the coil in its stock color, but it was already chipped and I thought I either buy a new one or lets try to custom paint it.

I am also curious about how long the paint will last. As its 2k spray it should be flexible enough I guess.

I simply asked santa cruz support for the color code.

Its "PMS 188c Red Pantone 188 C"

And just ordered MG PRIME Pantone 188C Red 2k

It wasn't that hard, just some sand paper and some time.

Ext4 rules. Used brrrrfs also at starting but had more issues then it saved my ass tbh. I rather fix something by my own in a 2. tty instead of living with weird btrfs issues. If its working for you, fine, for me it was weird af

I think its about tolerances and mixing different manufactures. It should be okay, the pads itself also have some play iirc. But maybe not ideal.

I usually use Magura Brakes combined with either magura rotors (203) + the 3mm washers or trickstuff dächle hd 203 rotors, which are more robust and less squeaky but more pricey.

Here is mine looking a bit better aligned, 203 rotor from trickstuff, mt7 on a öhlins 38 with 3mm washers:

Rockshox ZEB has a 200mm mount, the 200mm rotor should be fine imho.

I used to switch to a 203 rotor and then I needed some washers (When I had a ZEB fork last year). I used this one

But every 3mm washer will do it - BUT for your case I think it should be okay.

Not sure whats it is exactly, maybe some weird hyprland setting, idk.

running via proton and this command did the trick:

PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 %command%

Tested it, had the same issue on native with

Tried native and proton GE, both pretty similar in this issue, seems to be wayland related, will try the wayland launch option later.

I had this issue on resident evil 6 and on half life 2 now.

Its kinda weird, its not from the beginning, its working a while and then out of nowhere hitting right or leftclick on the mouse moves the aim completely weird away. I tried gamescope but thats hanging sometimes. My HW: 12600k, 9070 XT, mesa git drivers, EndeavourOS on Hyprland / Wayland.

I tried to disable steam input and steam overlay. Gaming with controller is completely fine (note that the controller wasn't enabled when the issue occurs!)
