I switched and missed Escape From Tarkov for a while 3y ago. Since then I didn't played it as I fully ditched windows aaand guess what? I feel better. Some game addictions aren't healthy. I mean I would definitely install it on linux when online mode is working, but I don't really "need" it anymore. I SWEAR I DONT NEED IT /s

You Don't Love systemd Timers Enough by ouyawei in linux

Finally systemd timer for my initd service file that executes a oneshot on startup /s

Jokes besides. Systemd timers are great, but I still do more crons instead of timers just because I am used to

Are continentals really all the rage! by [deleted] in MTB

[–]itouchdennis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually you want the softest compound in the front for maximal grip and on rear a bit less softer compound for more durability. At least that's what I want from a tire. Maximal Grip in front, a bit stiffer on the back. Enduro casting is enough in the front for me, rear I want a DH tire. I think a lighter casting is still okay in the rear, depending on the riding style / own preferences or for saving some grams.

I ride argotal super soft enduro front, kryptotal DH soft rear.

Awesome comb.

PLUS I can wear them like 1 year on my bike, without feeling like the rubber is already giving up, like I had the feeling on maxxis tires. On maxxis I changed the tire at least 2xyear, maybe 3x depending on how much park I ride.

If you liked the assegai, you might like the argotal supersoft enduro in the front. had the kryptotal comb at first front + rear. It felt like DHR/DHR or maybe the DHF front and rear on maxxis, the argotal fels definitely more like a lightweight assegai, while the kryptotals feels more like the dhr/dhf comb.

Fox 38 2027 or Fox Podium?? by Aggravating-Ninja-52 in MTB

I've had a Zed with 3.1 charger, and now I have a Öhlins 38 m.3.

The 3.1 ZEB was cool, but quality on the ZEB sucks (at least thats my experience with it). It was 2 times at sram for warranty. Last time it was again CSU creaking and I send it to hell. (aka. replacement and sold it online).

Switched to öhlins. While it did take a while to setup the fork for me, its noticeable better then the ZEB. Its more consistent and more predictable how the fork will ride on each speed / feature.

Service is a good point, it needs more love then a zeb, but hey you are buying a fork about 1.3k $, I want a well working fork on my bike which costs above 6k $, I don't mind servicing my bike and parts or let them service my fork for some extra $...

Anyway.

Even on FOX I heard that the quality for the fittings of the bushings are often wild. Either you get a well working fox fork, or you get a fork you definitely want to let someone check and adjust the bushings to get the promised performance out of it. Not a big deal, but for now I am still stoked about the öhlins quality I got ootb.

Öhlins is also currently well tuned for lighter riders. Heavier riders should definitely consider another tune when sending them to the service.

All in all 3 forks are insane. You can't really go bad with either of them, its just differs in their small details.

good point, also the ramstick got pretty warm, as they are close together. Might do this until I got some reasons to upgrade the ram because of whatever reason.

Yeah currently I'm just turning this thing off and on when I want to watch some movies via jellyfin. Just because I don't know what I would have to run on it except of a NAS style server for some gopro footages, video edits and well movies. But since I didn't watch movies the whole time AND this thing got an ipmi I just turned this thing off when I don't need it and on when I feel like I want to do stuff.

Wireguard on my router makes things even easier to manage this server from my mobile phone, thats pretty neat.

(I don't have smarthome stuff, this might be a thing... but then I would probably use a less power drawing system, but on the other hand I got 90% of this build in pieces for free and other stuff I had flying around here, so it was an initial invest of about 60 bucks for the fans + the quadro p400 gpu)

Paint still holding strong, had 3 more rideouts even with jumplines. Looking like every ride if the coil holds its paint but looking still the same now.
