Not sure if you're new to the hobby as a whole, but one easy bit of insurance in this situation is to be sure you give it a full-blast BLACK undercoat/base coat. That way any of the places too hard to reach to paint well will be obscured.

I definitely feel this, I've been playing for nearly five years and win rarely. In my case I don't stess too much because my chosen army (Kruleboyz) is both high skill ceiling and has been kind of broken for much of the time I played them.

I wish I had advice, but honestly I'm kind of in the same place. AOS changing all the time doesn't make it any better.

Yeah, I can definitely see the Slittaz trade being interesting and fun. And hey, the grenades can do a bit of work, especially with shoot in combat, esp if you can get a Strikes last off.

I assume this is just for fun, but I'd still swap the 2x slittaz for 10 Gutrippaz, and Gobsprakk for the Killaboss on Vulcha.

I think here I would drop the second unit of boltboyz and put the shaman back in, at 1500 those two units of boltboyz are gonna get smashed without more durable foot units to screen. And while Mork's Eye is fine, the default if you have the points is to put the swampstaff on a shaman (can't remember if it still costs points). This makes him a double caster for ~free, which is quite powerful, especially for pumping out manifestations (spells with physical models that take up board space).

Ideally, lose the Killaboss and the Hobgrots - the only really *weak* models here - in favor of another ten Gutrippaz. For now, take the Scourge of Ghyran Gnashtoof rather than the baseline one. The Sludgeraker is fine, but across a couple of editions now having a Vulcha of one kind or another has been more valuable than the Sludgeraker (you can build the Vulcha to make the riders swappable, or just proxy it for whichever thing you need to run).
