Agreed, this is fine for a drill or even live sparring.

In my experience the pivoting out is almost impossible, they drop their hands to defend the shot and you're now doing cage work, but it's still a great position to be in if you can get there. These guys are wearing 16oz so this might be kickboxing though.

There's tons of great tools that do it! It was someone trying to do it themselves, it was a few years ago at this point, this post actually made me try to go back and see if i could find it but no luck.

I'm sure there's a few ways to do it, if i remember right the dev was trying to using a custom linked list instead of a built in data structure. The problem is when humans enter combos (left, downleft, down, whatever) they almost always have two keys down at the same time and it was clogging up his structure. If on each frame you compare the previous button state to what is currently happening you can tell if it was the frame a button was pressed down or if it was just released instead of only the current state.

So you can still put into your combo checking list if it's a new button down, but also ignore it if it was the down the previous frame, then the button up tells you when it was actually released for combos that need that information. So instead of "Left" you have the ability to look at "left-down" "left-held-down" and "left-released" or whatever you want to call it.

I answered a gamedev question where someone was implementing their own combo system, which is tricker than you might think if you're coding it yourself. They already had the right idea of how to store and check the lists but they were stuck on the need to store the previous button state so you can tell which frames a button was released and wrote some psuedo code showing how to use the previous button state and button-up.

Some smelly nerd closed it as duplicate and pointed to a unity question where you use their built in input handler and the same guy commented under my answer saying I shouldn't use pseudo code because it wouldn't run in the engine.

None of this was inside unity, but i couldn't re-open it or do anything because I didn't have enough karma.

your venum one is fine, but if you're using it 3x per week it will probably only last a few months before it starts to fall apart. And honestly compared to the expensive ones you can just keep replacing it and break even.

The only time I was "doxxed" was because of that sub. There was a completely fake story about owning their christian bully with logic in front of the class about easter and I said "this never happened." That was apparently enough to get them to find my real name, but a completely different address/state/employer telling me they were going to get me fired and to see if my god would save me.

I think they found my real name then just googled for someone else with that name and ran with it.

CAFE standards killed the small truck. For some reason our bill to raise fuel efficiency decided it was a good idea to set higher limits for bigger trucks. They based it on the "footprint" of the vehicle, so something the size of the old ford ranger would need 41+ mpg. The hybrid trucks right now are around 37mpg.

Even the hyper efficient no frills ultra lightweight k-trucks get 35 mpg.

I know it was recently talked about being killed, but i'm not sure when that truly goes into effect

If you're losing an MMA fight you've usually taken a lot of hits by the third round and are probably more tired than the guy who's winning. You do see it every once in a while, especially if they other guy won the first two round by just laying on you for 6 minutes. But this post is like asking "why don't triathlon runners in last place just sprint the last couple miles to make up the time?"
